Has anyone switched their LO from Zantac to Prevacid? What was their reaction like? DD was on Zantac for the last month and sleeping at night like a dream. 11pm to 8am every night. She was switched to Prevacid this past weekend after a hospital stay for projectile vomiting.

She's barely slept at all since the switch. Not at night or during the day. It's 2am and she's awake screaming still. Last night we got maybe 2-3 hrs of sleep and she barely napped today.

We have an appt in the morning and I'm planning on talking to the dr about it but wanted to see if anyone else had experience with this.

DD3 doesn't have reflux, but my 6 year old does. I think it takes a few days for the Prevacid to have an effect, so the doc should have had you overlapping with the Zantac or maybe even taking both for a while. Are you seeing a pediatric GI doc? If not, I would request a referral.
