Planning on weaning:When do you offer your baby milk throughout the day?

The 1 year mark is approaching so I would like to get mentally and physically prepared for weaning from breast milk (nursing) and head into the land of sippy cup and cows milk. My questions for you ladies who have already made the switch or moms that have a game plan;

When/what time/how many times do you give your baby milk?

Is there a sippy cup that worked best for you? (My son refuses bottles so pediatrician says just stick with sippy cup)

How many oz a day?
What type of milk?

I switch the nursing sessions that are not associated with going to sleep to cow's milk first. So for DS that will be after his afternoon nap. I give horizon whole milk with DHA. After that I will start offering it with meals instead of his usual water.

They need to have 500mls of whole milk a day (I believe that's 2 cups??)

I just use a handle cup with a short spout

We are 11 months on 4/4. I've started putting D milk in sippy cups and have it avail throughout the day. At the table she gets sippy cup of water for meals and snacks. So far we are only doing 2 bottles - 4 oz formula AM and we make 8oz for bedtime (but she doesn't always drink it all). I am hoping to be done with formula and bottles at 1 yr. I had been concerned with her not getting enough fluids but previous moms tell me that when a baby is thirsty, she'll drink and it's true! Good luck!
