Trying to Get Pregnant

All the signs, but constant BFN :/ (later edit: you're gonna wanna read this one haha)

My husband and I just started trying to get pregnant 3 months ago and this month I actually saw a good number of signs that I was pregnant- headaches, crazy exhausted all last week, constipation, face breaking out, got a cold, boobs kinda sore, spotting, all within the time frame that things are supposed to happen. Granted I was skeptical on everything for a couple days, thinking it was a coincidence/trying not to get my hopes up, but when the spotting came, well, your brain can't make that up haha.
I got the typical pinkish brown spotting this past Saturday the 29th and got really excited. Then yesterday I had more in the morning, but then an hour later started what looked like my period- heavy and red. My period isn't due til this Wednesday and I'm not usually early. I had read that sometimes women get implantation spotting exactly like their periods, but it stops after a day or two. I'm now on day 2 of this, and have pretty much ruled out the chance of being pregnant this month, but was just wondering if anyone has had all the symptoms, but not been pregnant? :/
and I have been tracking my ovulation with My Days and tracking temperature and trying to research get all the info I can on getting pregnant. There just seems to be so many variants off of the 'norm' .

Thanks
Angela

Note: new readers of this post. You'll want to read this thread all the way to the end. We laughed, we cried (ok, I cried.... secretly to myself in my car), mostly at the beginning we fought, but It's a journey of discovery and hilarious song writing skills and topics after all is said and done.

@tairairat‌ - Forgot to add- yes, I've been tracking my temp too.
I don't get most of these symptoms the entire week before my period, usually just tired the day before, that's why I found it curious and possibly meant being pregnant. Not trying to grasp at straws out of excitement, just odd and out of the ordinary to be pms symptoms for me

You had PMS, and then your period.

And BFNs = not pregnant at this time. Its puzzling to me why this is so hard for so many people.

Sounds like your period. Better luck next cycle

@FINEdoubleLINE‌ - Thanks, I think I will. And I appreciate your honesty without being a dick. I don't get offended easily and can take a joke, but this is all new to me and I'm trying to learn and didn't really expect some of the borderline rude comments as if I should know better when everyone is different and I've read of plenty of women who were pregnant with a heavy implantation bleeding- hence, my confusion and initial post

I understand getting sick of hearing the same type of questions over and over, but if you're sick of it, don't answer it and make someone feel stupid for asking.
I originally thought exactly the same as all of you, heavy bleeding- nope, it's shark week. Try again next month Angela. but after reading in more and more forums on the subject, I found women who didn't have the textbook implantation experience. That's all.

If you would have read the sticky thread at the top that says "Are you new to TTGP? Click here first! *Newbie Blog*" we wouldn't need to explain any of this to you.

I get it, I do. Just didn't expect the tone of responses right off the bat when I was asking a question that I originally thought was a simple and obvious answer, but had then found a lot of conflicting info about and wanted to know if anyone else was having the not textbook answer I was reading about

Yup, did that first before I wrote, went to the WordPress page and there was nothing about rules of posting
also went to the newbie blog, I read through a couple of the posts and they were just normal posts, didn't see rule advice there either.
Could possibly be because I'm on my phone

1: Direct does not equal rude.

2: Instead of reading random stories on the internet, read real medical information. You can find stories that say almost anything on the interwebs. But the truth is that any implantation bleeding, no matter how heavy, is a rare occurrence. And when it does happen, it's usually something you notice in hind site. If you had done real research, you'd know that. And if you do real research in the future, you won't have to ask inane questions and get answers that make you feel stupid anymore.

I guess more not expecting the tone when I hadn't seen it on other random posts and just thought I was asking a not dumb question. Except for one girl who apparently posted pics of her mucus and spotting....... Yeah. ...... NOPE.

I wasn't asking to be lied to, just thought responses were gonna be more like- it happens, but rarely, so don't get your hopes up
Not a big deal. I see what everyone is saying when you see the same questions repeated, it's annoying.
but I don't get why people aren't getting that I looked at the newbie post, didn't see the rules, but I'm fine with getting everyone's opinions. I was just taken off guard, not knowing when i posted that people are done with seeing the same questions. And not knowing that my question had been asked multiple times already today.
Now I know, and knowing is half the battle

How is a cold a pregnancy symptom? This is the first time I've heard anyone say this, but I'll add you to the club of stiff neckers and sweaty palmers that also think these odd symptoms must mean they are totes preggly. Did you ever think that you were exhausted because you were sick, not pregnant?

@Barely5feet‌ maybe I should have said- you're more susceptible to illness, and I got a cold. That's what I meant

@thehalfrican‌ But scientific truth trumps antidote. You have zero reason to believe that someone else's implantation bleeding story will have any bearing on what's happening with your body, and the fact is still that the chances of you ever experiencing implantation bleeding are slim.

Weird, I've been pregnant and managed to not get any colds (during cold season at that!) the entire 3 months I was pregnant. In all seriousness though, the cold was probably the culprit of some of your symptoms, not a symptom of pregnancy. You've got it backwards.

@Sliptak‌ I used My Days and tracked it on a chart my sis in law gave me. One thing I read was that your temp will stay up if you're pregnant, but I couldn't find how much higher is supposed to be. For next months reference of course, I think we've all covered that shark week is here this month haha

At some point just before/during/soon after your period your temp will drop back to pre-O range. If you're pregnant it will usually stay up around post-O range.

Good! It'll definitely be easier than charting manually- that must take some discipline!
This is my second month using FF and I found it really helpful. Another plus to this board is you can always ask others to looks at your chart to help you figure out what's going on if you have any confusion.
    Good luck!!

Bottom line: our bodies sometimes do weird things. Especially if you've been sick and whatnot. Is it possible to get a lot of symptoms and not be pregnant? Yes. Lots of things can cause those symptoms and there are tons of women on here that have tons of symptoms month to month, and end up not being pregnant. Then one month the get little to no symptoms and turn out to be pregnant. Using FF is a good way to feel like you have some control and take some of the guesswork out of this. I'm in a super bitchy mood today (it's Monday, aren't we all) so I apologize for laying it on a little thick and hope you decide to stick around.

No. Many it never drops until after their period starts and sometimes not until CD4 or 5, Yep, pretty sure I covered that. and temps do not remain high through pregnancy. You're right, they don't stay high through the entire pregnancy. But they don't usually fall back to pre-O temps immediately like they would if you had gotten your period. That's why it can be an indicator, but it is not a confirmation.

That would be like saying having chest pains means you are having a heart attack because that is in indicator of a heart attack.

The bleach test is a joke about a previous poster. Please do NOT do this. And if you do, for love of Pete, don't show us your cup full of foamy urine.

    CD is cycle day

But we've all been through our first fight, reconciled, and I feel like this has brought us closer together, like a real family. I think enough time has passed in the last 30 min where I feel comfortable enough to share the inner liquid workings of my lady parts with you all in picture, video, and possibly even song.
