  • Our stash is a bit of everything, and I have different favorites for different situations. At the end of the day, prefolds and covers (I really like Thirsties Duos) are a really dependable option in our house. I couldn't do nights without fitteds and wool, though (I mostly use Bagshot Row Bamboo fitteds because I got a lot of them 2nd hand for super cheap).

  • My home boards are SIF and BN so I've got thick skin. It's really okay. I mean I tend to fart glitter and cupcakes but I'm just super sweet like that ;-) I'm not a spammer and thanks for all of the advice. I'm kind of gushy too but my husband is good with that so I'll be okay with it too. I just tend to approach things a little different then some which is perfectly fine but I also react different then others too. That's pretty normal too.

  • Most of my stash is BG 4.0s, freetimes, and Tots Bots Easy Fits (tiny fits were great in NB stage too)

There's a lot of NCDR posts on here - which often contain a whole lot of inside jokes. But they often contain a whole lot of good info on other random things. And some make zero sense to people who don't spend a whole lot of time here (myself included). But if you do want to know about cloth diapers (or a whole lot of other green/eco friendly things) - stick around.

I've heard of Tot Bots but haven't checked them out yet. Since we'll most likely be adopting, I'm trying not to by the oh so tempting NB dipes but if we adopt a NB I'll probably do prefolds. Although, I have no idea what prefolds are good anymore.

Covers: Blueberry Coveralls and Thirsties Duo

  • We really like Tots Bots (although I find that I always have to add a doubler to our minky ones because the absorbency isn't awesome).

  • I knew something was up when I saw the number of replies here.

OP, I think the snark on this board is a friendly, entertaining kind of snark, like when someone is truly laughing with you instead of at you.

As far as my diaper preferences, I'm a big fan of flats and prefolds. I like how adjustable they are, and that I can get several uses out of cute covers. Flats are also incredibly trim. I also have a few pockets, AIOs, and fitteds. The brands I have are RaR, BG, Thirsties, MP2, and blueberry. Blueberry pockets and covers are my favorite.

I guess I mistook things as unfriendly but it's water under the bridge or poop down the toilet, haha ;-)

I tried flats with my DD and I sucked at folding them but I would be willing to give them another try. I used GMD prefolds so it's nice to know they are still good quality. It's crazy how the quality of a lot of brands I used with my DD have gone downhill.

    RaR=? And MP2=?

The other brands I'm familiar with.

  • Rumparooz and My Planet 2. I want to love the MP2. It's a pocket that you are supposed to use twice, once as a traditional pocket and then by snapping in an insert. The outside is minky and I have an adorable cow print. But it leaks half the time LO wears it.

I have some serious flat love but it took me awhile to try.

    My Favs:

Covers: Best Bottoms, Blueberry Coveralls, Sweet Pea, and Thirsties Duo

    Daytime/ NB fitteds: GMD workhorses

ON fitteds: EcoPosh (although lately I've just bee using bamboo prefolds with a doubler)

For Daycare: SoftBums Omni/Echo in aplix, Grovia Ai2 with cotton insert, BumGenius 4.0 pockets, AppleCheecks pockets

For Diaper Bag: Best Bottoms with stay dry inserts and AppleCheeks pockets

Doublers/extra inserts: Babykicks, Rumparooz R6 hemp, AppleCheeks 2 ply bamboo inserts

  • OMG. I had to skim. There's too much apologizing/explaining and too much defending.

If you're not a spammer then get on with your questions. It's not like you didn't get legit answers starting with the 3rd post.

And I wouldn't have answered anyway bc I don't have a favorite that I'm passionate about enough to try to convince you to use them. So there's that.

    Why answer now then? Haha!

Thank you! I definitely want to check out Best Bottoms. I also need to look over BumGenius again because when I first bought them for my DD, they were just coming out with OS pockets.

  • I love GMD Workhorses. They are all that I use, with a few GMD prefolds thrown in. For covers, I love Thirsties Duo Wraps, Bummis, and Blueberry. I definitely prefer snaps over velcro.

I definitely need to look at the GMD workhorses. I remember having some Bummis covers. Thanks for refreshing my memory on those! I realized after buying a ton of BumGenius velcros that my DD learned to take off very easily that snaps are best for me, haha! Thanks again :-)

Does it hold a lot stronger? I pretty much gave up on Velcro/aplix but my DH would probably do better with aplix if I could find one that my child couldn't escape from like my DD did, hehe!

  • If you're looking for good aplix to try, tots bots and rumparooz both have great aplix too.

  • Aplix is great for babysitters, daycares, spouses etc. Probably wouldn't want a whole stash out of it in case they do figure it out, but Thirsties new stuff is awesome.

  • Thanks on the tips about Aplix! So much has changed since I CD'd my DD. The suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  • I had aplix NB diapers / covers and NO ONE could get the aplix tabs closed. So our NB diapers look worn.
I don't care about any of the benefits of aplix I won't add it to my OS stash.
