Trouble TTC

Rubella Titers

Hey ladies,

I had blood work yesterday for my progesterone levels and rubella titers. My progesterone came back normal but my rubella came back inconclusive. My nurse said she wanted me to redo the blood work. If I don't have any titers, they recommend getting the vaccine. But the vaccine is a live virus, so we would have to take a 30 day break after the vaccine is given.

So, what are your thoughts or experiences?? I really do not want to take a 30 day break!! My fingers are crossed that I am already KU so it would not matter :)

Huge thanks in advance!!

Re: Rubella Titers

  • @calindi    Thanks, its hard to think of waiting another month, but if it is best then it should be done.

We will see what the second test says!

  • I had to get the chicken pox vaccine and that requires a 2 month break. It sucks, but we weren't willing to risk it. The kicker is that I had chicken pox when I was a kid! Grrr!

  • I had to get re immunized for Rubella last month and will be starting my first medicated cycle as soon as AF makes an appearance, (hopefully any day now). I really wanted to get started but it was really important to me to make sure my immunizations are up to date since your immunities are lower during pregnancy.
