  • No it's like a grocery store card. TBH I'm using my mom's phone number every time I go.

  • @jessa8907 yeah like tourqeyes said, it's pretty much a store card that you'll need to scan so you can get the sale prices. Another good thing is if you buy certain products that give you "points" they save onto your card and you can redeem them for future purchases.

    image

  • @jessa8907 yep you can just input your phone number at check out and be good to go!

  • Thanks for this! I just went and got 2 packs of NB size and 4 packs of size 1, and 2 packs of wipes (it's all they had left that wasn't scented)!

Like several other FTM have said, I feel like I don't know what I'm doing or how much I should let myself stock up just now, but I do think I'll be back later in the week for some additional sizes and to check on if they get more wipes in.

PS: I'm in Michigan, the sale is the same, but none of it was marked on the shelf as on sale, it was all done at the register.

  • Wahoo!!! I know half of this doesn't apply to this thread, but I am on freakin cloud 9 right now! The wipes came from Walgreens so at least I am somewhat following the rules. ;) Got all of this for $72.14 (before taxes) and a $10 gift card back.

That's 10 packs of diapers (huggies and pampers brands), 10 refil packs of wipes, 2 baby wipe tubs, two 30 packs of quilted northern tissue paper, and a $10 gift card.
The diapers alone should have been $100.90 before taxes.

    *insert happy dance here*

Btw, the tissue paper is a steal of a deal at Target if anyone is interested in how to get it. ($22.69 with a $10 gift card back)

  • Anyone curious about the Walgreens pullups... DD only uses a pull-up at night (doesn't really need it). She wore one today because we were going shopping and she likes the security. Anyway, I found the girls' pull-ups from Well Beginnings to run a little big. Well, they have the velcro on the sides so I just opened them up and resealed them to be smaller. Perfection! DD loves the My Little Ponies on the front.

And I agree with the donating. I'm buying more tonight and if I have too many, I'll donate them. Those size ones are about 7.5 cents each. That is truly unheard of (for me) with diapers. I opened them and compared them to Pampers. They feel about the same. Pampers are softer in the middle, but I like how the Well Beginnings have no scent to them. That's important to me!

@BBColt78‌ - target has their 30 packs of quilted northern on sale for $15 each (down from $17.49). There is also a $10 gift card offer for buying two. This makes them $30.

Coupon.com has $1.00 off coupon (they say for Walmart, but target scanned them no problem). Use two to make it $28.

Cartwheel has quilted northern coupon for 15% ($4.50), which makes it $23.50.

Use your red card for an additional $.81 off. The total ends up being $22.69 + tax and you get a $10 gift card back. :)

I think me & @tourqeyes should post our stockpile picture on FFFC... what do you think ma'am?

  • @TheAnne I don't think it's ever been a thread but it's been said by a lot of people that you should refrain from stocking up on diapers because you don't know if baby will be allergic or sensitive to a certain brand  :-/

I, however, didn't listen to that advice. Lol. If LO happens to be allergic to any of them, I can always donate, resell, or give them away to my friends who also have LO's.

In the very first thread that I started, I suggested stocking up. I definitely got the response you are talking about. ;)

  • Here's a tip for you ladies.

If your store is clear out of these diapers and wipes, get a rain check. Hell, get as many rain checks as you can! Wanna know why? Because at Walgreen's & CVS, their rain checks never expire. Save them for a rainy day... HAHA get it? :-??

Say LO is already born and thank heavens, he/she took to these diapers/wipes amazingly. Then you realize you're down to your last diaper. Well, whip out that rain check and redeem those bad boys when you need them!

This is what I've been doing all week. Every day I'll stop at a Walgreen's and ask them if they can issue me a rain check for the maximum amount they can allow per rain check. This is usually ten items or 5 BOGO deals. I also made sure to have them include the diapers being priced at $7.00 each pack so there aren't any issues when I go to redeem these rain checks in the future.

Now if I ever run out (hopefully that won't happen), I can rely on that rain check to help me get some cheap diapers again and not break the bank and pay full price. Because honestly, I hate paying full price for anything lol

Wish I would have thought of this sooner. :( The closest Walgreens is 20 miles away and I have no plans of going back to the city before the sale is over. Good thinking though!

  • I don't feel right posting my stockpile until my big box from amazon for 12 dollars shows up haha

    image

  • I went to walgreens again today and there were more size fours. I was confused where they came from because they are supposed toget their truck Thursday, I cleared them out of that size last time, and they said there were no more in the back. Humph

Anyways I got some more fours and wipes. Although I think someone else has caught on because with the wipes there were slim pickins

I feel kind of sad my diaper stockpile is nearing completion. Proud that I have all the diapers I need for my child that isn't even here over the next few years, but sad that I won't have the need to run out and get these deals. Sigh. Will have to focus my coupon ing efforts elsewhere.

  • @tourqeyes I feel the same way! I went back and bought more of the 3s as they got stock in today, but I can't bring myself to take my final loot picture until I go back in the morning when they've unloaded everything. I already told DH to budget in my trip tomorrow, if I can knock out all of LittleDude's buttwipe needs until it's time to potty train, I will feel like I've kicked ass.

It's these diapers and wipes that are keeping me from feeling like a slacker on prepping for LO. We are moving before he shows up so I can't decorate his Nursery yet :-(
Um, I hate to tell you this @literachick but my DD is potty trained and we still use wipes. There is nothing better than a wipe vs. tp for wiping a toddler. You better head back and get more wipes girl!

@samounthak I never thought of that amazing idea with rainchecks! Now I will head out tomorrow and get some. We have drives for the local mother shelters at certain times of the year. I will get some rainchecks and then shop for the drive!

Ladies, this has been a blast. When I was pregnant with DD there was an Amazon couponing craze going (2011). Those girls taught me how to get BOXES of diapers for around $6. I'm talking Pampers, Huggies and the premiums. I had NB to size 3 before DD was even born. I'm sorry, but when over a year's worth of diapers cost me about $55, who cares if I'll go through some I don't like.

I've been using these wipes on DD and love them. I'll be holding myself back from getting more. I'm at 22 packs right now. Damn this 960sq foot house!

Make sure you girls are using the Walgreens card at checkout. That's what brings the price down. I always let mine ring up regular price and then give them my card so I can watch the price go down.

The diapers also say 9.49 on the shelf and BOGO but ring $7 at the register. Again, using the free card.

I did use mine and I know it worked because I got one pack for free. No idea why it's ringing up higher.

  • Ugh, you guys this is like crack. I went back this morning and bought more! So far I have:

    NB - 2 packs
    1 - 6 packs
    2 - 2 packs
    3 - 2 packs
Wipes: 4 boxes and 1 big refill box

I don't know how much to buy since I don't know for sure that these will work for Finn, but at these prices how can I not? I do know I want to buy more wipes, but the location I've been going to is still totally picked over for the unscented and sensitive varieties (I don't want the scented ones). I'm thinking I'm going to try to hit up another location not too far from my house tonight or tomorrow AM.

Would you guys recommend NOT getting more diapers at this time, or stocking up more on a particular size?

I'm in a similar boat. I want to go back for my crack fix, but I'm not sure what size to buy more of. I'm thinking I'll get newborn and size 1 diapers from the shower and DH's diaper party, so I may load up on more size 3's. I think I have something like 18 packages of the unscented wipes for me and I also bought my sister 10 packs, so I'm going to call that supply full.

  • Guyssss get a rain check. I'm telling you that it will come in handy. @mana84 @futuremrsbrian especially if baby takes well to these brands! 1 rain check for the diapers and 1 rain check for the wipes  :D

@helloblueeyes I think you're right about them being $2.49. Since you live in Cali the prices are always just a tad higher. That's what I've heard from my couponing friends from Cali so yeah.. sorry!

    image
    imageimage

  • This is why they are ringing up cheaper than what you think (I talked about this with the girl there)

Diapers are normally 1 for 9.49 (or whatever the price is) but 2/14 she was telling me. So when you buy the 2 you get it at 14 dollars, which is why it comes up at 7 dollars on the receipt when you B1G1.

Same deal on the wipes being cheaper than what is indicated on the price tag.

    image

    image

  • @tourqeyes Regarding the Amazon Mom. It's back but it's only for new members. Here's the loophole though. Just use another e-mail lol. That's what I did. I've had an amazon account for years so I just used my other email and signed up for the trial. Got my first box for $8.88 woohoo

So it's 50% off your first pack. Then 20% off your first subscribe & save. Then most diapers usually have a $1.50 off coupon you can clip towards the purchase. Boom.

    image
    imageimage

  • I already did that one! I told you that's why I don't want to post pictures of my stockpile.

But the deal back in 2011 was awesome. You could use like 14 coupons back and forth if you wanted. I feel like someone at Amazon didn't think it through very well.

    image

    image

  • @tourqeyes ohhhh well DAMN. Where the hell was I lol

    image
    imageimage

  • Not on the amazon mom thread apparently! ;)

    image

    image

  • That got out of control though. The coupons came in magazines and people were going to stores and ripping them out and not buying the magazines. I would get so upset!
