I can't stand it when people plant a huge garden and then they have more fruits and vegetables than they can possibly eat. Somehow we always end up getting the extras that we haven't asked for and don't like. Don't plant a farm and expect me to eat it all!

That would be us. Last summer we could have set up a produce stand on the side of the road with how much we had.
I drank Diet Dr. Pepper and Dr. Pepper 10 when I was pregnant because I had GD and they have little or no carbs. Regular Dr. Pepper has a ton of carbs. I hated the taste, especially the Dr. Pepper 10, but I felt like I couldn't get through the day without them.
Sometimes I don't think it's necessarily the caffeine that I'm missing, but more about the habit of drinking one with every lunch (I only have one a day).
I hate flip flops. They are the ugliest most obnoxious shoes ever.
I agree 200%. Hate them.....not to mention they are horrible for your feet.
I live in Texas, it's going be the 90s tomorrow. My feet sweat in closed shoes and I feel hotter when my feet feel warm. Plus, you'll be hard pressed to find a sandal (a flat sandal) that's NOT a flip flop style during the summer months. believe me, I've tried, there's not too much.
Oh, and aerosoles, born, and numerous other brands make some with arch support and they're very comfy.
Shew everyone I know wear those damn foamy plastic flip flops you get at Wal Mart and wherever else. I guess I don't categorize Born and Aersoles as flip flops in my mind even though that is the design.
Even so, I still don't wear flip flop style shoes. Too much work to keep on my feet in my opinion. There are oodles of sandals that aren't flip flop style because that is all I wear. I don't wear close toed shoes in the summer (except tennis shoes).
And sorry @NRyan55. I brought it back up again.....
I will speak on the topic of diet soda just this once, and then I will go back to cursing @chelseyestelle for hating the best footwear on the planet...diet soda is full of artificial sugars, which have not been proven to cause anything harmful YET, but neither had smoking cigarettes in the 70's. I would be careful about putting fake substances into your body. If you need a soda, drink a real one...but just ONE and not 20 ounces. @taylormarie923 is right. The fake sugars make you crave more sweets, and typically people cave into these cravings. The doctor I work with touts diet sodas in our diet plans...I do NOT. I don't believe they are good for you. Drink water...or beer.
I want to luurve this many times My mom is a dietitian so I grew up in a very healthy house. Diet soda is toxic, flip flops ftw.
I also thought of another UO: I really dislike when, in an office / professional environment, women don't wear tank tops or camis under button-up shirts. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the gaps between buttons busting open and no cami / tank top to help hide the girls. Maybe I'm prudish but I think it's really unprofessional and kinda gross.
I lurrrrrve flip flops (I've lived south-ish of I-10 for 2/3 of my life). I got married on a Friday. I don't always drink soda, but when I do, it's diet coke.
my own - DH has recently quit the career he hates to build a work-at-home business. My favorite part of this whole thing is that he is cleaning the house now.

I LOVE sandals even if they are flip flop style because they don't make Noise and they are stylish. I just hate the flat bottom with just the thing between your toe. Nope! So ugly.
Ok, how about this uo?
I think bikinis are awful swimwear. They do NOT look good on 90% of people that wear them, no matter their size. ( @Mmhodges07 is a 10%er). They're just not very flattering to a woman's curves imo. But I understand it's bikini or some sort of mumu swimwear. I wish there were more options. I walked by all the itty bitty bikinis at target and thought, who can actually wear that?
Haha, thank you @jgslr I live on the beaches in FL, and it's basically all I wear. During the summer, the majority of people actually live in swim suits. It's so damn hot. Restaraunts and stores within several miles of the beaches do not even enforce a shirt/short policy. Everywhere you look is swimsuits. I like to believe most people do not even judge if people look good in them or not. We are very welcoming and "relaxed" individuals. haha.
@chelseyestelle have you been to a beach? This is a honest question because I remember from "never have I ever" that you haven't done much.
I have been to the beach 38301739 times, thank you very much. I lived in Florida for a year and we go to California twice a year, Oregon once a year and random spontaneous trips to other places. I will wear sandals all day every day. You will never catch me in these...
-I got married on a Friday. Had over 300 ppl come so it didn't seem to be too much of an inconvenience. -I love flip flops. All day, all summer. -I hate diet pop. Water & unsweetened iced tea FTW!
I can't stand it when people plant a huge garden and then they have more fruits and vegetables than they can possibly eat. Somehow we always end up getting the extras that we haven't asked for and don't like. Don't plant a farm and expect me to eat it all!
Free organic produce..wow..how awful.
Yeah, but if I don't like it, it doesn't get eaten, and now I have to feel bad throwing it out. My main complaint was the not asking if we like/want something before just bringing it over. If it's something we'll eat, I'm all for it!
I'm guilty of saying I have OCD too. I know I don't (based off Jack Nicholson's character in As Good As It Gets) because I don't turn the lock on my door five time or turn a light switch on and off nine times. I will just start saying that I am anal, which is deft more accurate.
I kind of love the differences among people depending on what region your from. Inspired by Mmhodges. I just think all of the subtle differences are really cool. Pop/soda, tennis shoes/sneakers, the variations of a sandwich, etc. It's like a culture shock and super interesting to learn.
Ladies, we can not let this be 5 pages of flip flop debate!
My UO: it pisses me off when people flippantly refer to their preference for organization and order as "my OCD". No, you do not have a debilitating psychological disorder, you are just a neat person.
This can be said about any mental illness so casually thrown around. I feel like it takes away from people who actually have said mental illness and makes the average person think it's NBD.
well i am glad this was brought to my attention bc honestly i dont say it every day but i have before, and never thought twice about it. so i will make it a point to be more sensitive.
but serious question, i dont think i have a debilitating mental disease but what qualifies real OCD from being neat? i always say i have OCD bc if something isn't right i cannot stop thinking about it. like seriously, if a picture is a little off center i will think about it even when i am not in the room and when I can fix it, and it will be the first thing i see when i go into the room. maybe i should consult doctor google. i dont mean this to come across as insensitive so sorry if it does i am just curious.
---------------------- @carriet2018 Obsessive behavior becomes a diagnosable mental illness when it begins to interfere with the completion of your daily activities/responsibilities, your relationships begun to suffer, and/or your ability to go to work/school is impacted. It's about quality of life. You might obsess about the picture on the wall, but do you have to get it perfectly straight before you feed the baby or go to work? If so, then it could be a mental illness. If not, you're just very particular.
The need for increased mental health awareness got brought up in last week's UO (I think) and I couldn't agree more. As an instructor in Mental Health First Aid, I am constantly surprised at how little people know about mental illness and how much stigma still exists. It depresses the hell out of me.
I know I'm posting a lot in this thread, but the misunderstanding of OCD is astounding.
ETA: Someone asked what qualifies as OCD. Well, I'm no psychologist so there's that. However, I think it's safe to say if your thoughts/behaviors are interfering with your daily life and/or causing you unnecessary stress, then you may want to get that checked out.
ETA again: it's not really that astounding seeing as most people I know have a misunderstanding of mental illness in general.

Completely agree about OCD. My husband was diagnosed with this as a child, but he does not have it in the the sterotypical way. When he is not on his meds, he has horrible anxiety and his mood suffers. On his meds, you would never know. He is not even that neat.
My brother is very defensive of his diet coke habit. He claims it's not an addiction, but he cannot function a day without it.
I guess I don't mind about 2nd or 3rd weddings...but do they seriously expect you to buy a gift everytime?

@azieber I would wear those! It's more about style to me.
Wait, is it about fashion or the sound they make?
Regarding the noise, do you also hate heels?
Well to be fair I said they were ugly and obnoxious (sound). I just love sandals and they are strapped to my feet so they aren't noisy. Maybe it's just around me but people get crazy with their flip flops. FLIP FLOP FLIP FLOP. Oh my goodness. Noo.
I believe in better living through chemistry. I know it's popular right now to try to be as 'natural' as possible, but if there's something I can do for my baby to make him feel better, I give no fucks. Baby seems to have reflux symptoms and Zantac makes it better? Great. Baby is fussy from teething and can't sleep? Gimme the tylenol.
I read Divergent amd didn't like it. The whole time I was reading it I was like man, this book is pretty antiscience and sounds like a future society that the preacher man used to scare us about. Mark of the beast. Poor Christians being persecuted for their selfless acts of love and humanity.
I don't know anything abouth the author but it sounds like she went to church in my small town.
MH and I were interested in it because people said if you likes Hunger Games you would like it. He started it before I did and talked enough about why he didn't like it that I didn't bother starting it.

There are different variations of "sandwich"? I'm curious about this now.

Yes! Thank you. I gave Jude some Tylenol while I was sitting outside with my neighbors because he was so fussy and kept gnawing on his fingers. They gave me the dirtiest looks and said.. You know there are lots of others things you can do for him for pain. You shouldn't give in so easy..
Right. My husbands going to medical school. I believe in medicine!

Flip flops are Eh, whatever to me. The shoes I don't like are Crocs. Probably an UO, but eww so ugly. I don't care if they're super comfortable unless you're in a job where you stand all day or something.

I put a call in to my doctor's nurse the other day to ask how many days in a row was 'too many' to give a dose of tylenol at night. The nurse tells me, well, you can't give tylenol to a baby younger than 6 months. I was like, uh....? Really? Because the doctor told us we could give some after the 2 month shots if needed, so... She said, oh really? Well, then obviously that's ok, but you should use alternative methods for teething. Like a cold washcloth. I said, my kid is SCREAMING and refuses to go to sleep and you want me to give him a washcloth?
I ended up bringing LO in to see the doc the following day for something else, and asked him about the tylenol while I was there. He said at the dose I was giving, once a day, he could take it for a long time and be just fine, and said not to hesitate if he was obviously in pain. I don't give it to him every night, but when it's bad, I absolutely do.
And that's totally fine with me. I just hope you don't think it is health food
My point is.. If you are claiming you on a diet, you should be eating and drinking things of substance and nourishment. Not because they are "0 calorie". That isn't a diet.
I hate hate hate flip flops AND sandals...no def to me both god ugly....
Maybe my FFC but my boyfriend has these flip flops he wears all the time and I don't care one bit when our new puppy chews on them hoping they leave forever....
I also live in Houston and never wear flip flops unless I am going to get a pedicure that day or am in FL and going to the beach...
My UO: I don't like mint and chocolate combined. Examples: mint chocolate chip ice cream, those after dinner mints they give out at restaurants. I like mint in my toothpaste and gum and I LOVE my chocolate (but only milk, not dark).
My coworker has a Diet Coke addiction. i would say 3 cans a day? She also has MS......aspartame has been linked to MS. It's not a "proven link" but I'd prefer not to take the chance....
