Hey everyone! I posted on Wed about having a sonogram and that they were a little concerned about my cervix size, which was 2.8 cm. I was told they only start to worry when you get to 2.5 cm. Anyways, after my appt I went about my day and worked a full and busy schedule.

After showering and settling in for the night, trying to relax and deflate my cankles, I felt like something came out of me. I went to the bathroom and but I didn't see anything but my panti liner was damp. I put on a new one and went back to bed. A few minutes later I felt it again, this time I didn't pee only wiped and I was leaking a clear fluid. I called the on all service and my dr called back and said because I was so early I needed to go to a different hospital then what I would've delivered at if I was full term. I found out later it's because the hospital I was sent to has the best NICU in the city.

I arrived a litte before 11 pm and while I was being triaged by my L & D nurse, my water broke.

They tried to keep him in there as long as possible, but we're prepping me for a premature delivery. At 4:04 am 3-20-14, I gave birth to my little boy Henry Michael at only 28 weeks 4 days. He is 2 lbs 12.8 oz. I ended up having him without medication and vaginally. They were in the process of getting my epidural but my little man had other plans and started on his way out!!!

I did tear and needed some stitches. I also had some clotting issues postpartum, but all is well now and I should be discharged tomorrow.

I'm doing well and so is Henry. He is in the NICU and will most likely stay up until my due date. We have a long road ahead of us, but we are so thrilled he is doing well!!!
