Thank you....I didn't know this check-in existed! I've been trying to lose weight since January and since then I've lost 10, gained 6 so my total loss is 4 pounds. I guess that is better than nothing but my weight will be my biggest issue so I really need to crack down. I just love a variety of starches, sweets, and iced tea! Actually, I love ALL food and I just need to cut back... a lot!

@KirstenAlecia what is insanity.
And I take a vit D pill every day with my prenatal. I feel like I've been stuck in the house do long my D must be low. I'm going to get it checked when I go for my anual.
And I hope you were doing a fancy move when you pulled that muscle BDing. )
Sadly….there were no fancy moves or bedroom acrobatics going on to contribute to said pulled muscle. Im just not that skilled anymore. BUT I have to give credit to H for provding me with a sheet pulling, toe curling good time (hence the tensing of muscles) lol…so there is that I guess :P
What is INSANITY??????? Oh my goodness girl. let me find a link…..please hold.
Have you tried various types of workouts and working out at different times of day to see what best motivates you and when your energy level is working in your favor?
I'm a super athletic adult, which is a huge change from an awkward teen who would do anything possible to avoid PE class. I just wasn't (and still aren't) into the traditional school sports like softball and volleyball that are centered around "flying objects" hurtling at high speeds towards your face.
Haha. I see what you did there. I loved Clueless!!!
As for working out at different times and I've found out that the only time I've been able to consistently go was to go first thing in the morning. I work from 9-5:30, so going to the gym after work is a no-go. There was a gym across the street from my job and I tried going at lunchtime, but would be all red faced and wet haire'd all afternoon and didn't like it. So going in the morning is what works for me. Hubby goes with me each day, so that's a huge motivation.
I'm glad you found us @thirtyninetoforty. 4lbs is great. Celebrate that!!!!! Try cutting out the iced tea (especially if it's sweetened) and stick to water. That's a nice little change to do. Good luck and hope to see you back next week
Ok the pulled muscles and @BeckyP005 wishing for sex has made fall over laughing..I'm still doing 5 mile walk the last to is power walk where I want to die but doing alright with it... I tried insanity I'm like hooligans4 didn't like it ..I don't like military or boot camp..but I know it gives results and kudos to you that do it:)... I have excersise induced asthma too ...hoping to start af the old hag is making me bloated:)
@hooligans4...I know the iced tea is very high in calories but I love it and find it hard to give up completely. I try and go for the diet tea but I slip many times. I wish I could enjoy water like so many do but I have not been able to adjust myself to drinking water too much (I miss flavor).

@thirtyninetoforty, I had a hard time giving up regular sodas. One trick (if you could call it that) was to drink nothing but water, and I mean NOTHING but water for 2 weeks. After that, introduce a diet tea and it will taste like heaven and you should be ok with having diet teas from that point on.
Wtf @KirstenAlecia that is insane. Nope not for me. I'm way too lazy for that. I'll stick to my 2 mile walk.
Oh see to me when i get past that first week and start to feel like Im getting somewhere it is ADDICTIVE. The intensity level is crazy yes but after the workout is finished there is almost this high that hits me…..its my post workout buzzzzzz!
I love it. I just need to find my motivation right now.
I am planning on dieting first. Lose a few pounds…Id say about 15. Id say that would take me approximately 5-6 weeks if I am dedicated (going on past experience) And then I will start to exercise.
See to me since exercise is 80% of weight loss anyway it makes sense to me. That and lets be honest. Exercise is so much easier to do and get used to when there is less of me to move around
@JimBobCooter, the important thing is that you went back. And 45 minutes after being away is a hell of a showing, so don't get disappointed! Each day, strive for more and you'll be back at it in no time!
@MamaBear904, thanks for the tip! I will def try it. I need to do something. I eat/drink just because. I also need to keep busy and I have plenty to do it's just doing it!

@KirstenAlecia, your pulled muscle story cracks me up. At least you had a good time doing it! :-)
