Please help me settle a debate.

What are your opinions on the name Banksia for a girl? Hate it and think it's ugly? Love how unique? Okay for first name, middle name or not at all?

Banksias are flowers that grow in Australia.

Voice of dissent.  As for the name, I like it.  It's interesting but still not too off-the-wall.  Though many people in the US will wonder about it, not being familiar with the flowers.  I actually have three different banskia bushes/trees in my yard.

Also, there is a climbing rose that is known as the Lady Banksia Rose.  My grandmother's front porch was shaded by a Lady Banksia climbing up the wrought iron.
