Advice please? high bp and back pain.

I am 29 weeks right now, and being induced at 38 weeks. I have been having horrible sciatic pain and low back pain to the point where I can't stand. I have also had high bp, last visit on Tuesday it was 150/79. I am a hair dresser and I am on my feet 40 hours a week with little to no breaks. Almost everyday I cry because of the pain. My doctor put me on restriction to sit between clients but I don't have time in between and my managers don't care. They've also prescribed Percocet and muscle relaxers to help but I can't take it at work. Tonight at work my leg gave out from the pain and I couldn't walk, they still made me work. I don't think I can do this anymore I am in so much pain and feel like I am going to pass out all the time. Should I call in tomorrow and go back to the doctors and see what they say or stick it out until next Tuesday when I have time off from my work schedule and if I get pulled would it typically be covered by disability? Thanks for any input you ladies have!

Re: Advice please? high bp and back pain.

  • I am not to sure how they go about disability, they haven't explained it to me just that I get 6 weeks after delivery and its 170$ a week or 50% of my pay whichever is greater. My disability can be extended before or after delivery depending on degree of disability. I know I won't lose my job if I get pulled early ( they can't afford to lose anyone else and similar situations have happened with other pregnant employees) I just don't know if this is typically covered by disability. Thanks for your input, definitely helps!
