I've been away for a few days and am just seeing this--congratulations on a beautiful son! Liam is so lucky to have such a wonderful family around him. I'll be praying for a very short stay in the NICU!

@KristiKubic the highest the nurses told me it got was 180/100 but there were a few times that they didn't say because it was so high they didn't want me to stress out more over the numbers. 

I just want to say thank you again to everyone for all of the thoughts and prayers. Liam and I are both doing great, My liver and kidneys returned back to normal just days after delivery and I was released from the hospital Monday, my bp has come down a great deal as well although they are keeping me on some meds for that for a short time to make sure it goes back to normal. 

Liam is making a lot of progress too, today they took him off of Cpap so now he is completely breathing on his own. His feedings are being increased almost daily and he is taking the milk I pump really well. DH and I love spending time with him just watching him sleep and helping out with diaper changes and bedding changes as much as they will let us.

im so happy to hear that your health is returning to normal so quickly. also it's awesome that Liam is doing so well! he sounds like a strong little baby and will continue to grow into a sweet healthy boy! prayers that everything keeps going smoothly for y'all! thanks for updating

So glad to hear you and Liam are both doing so well! I can't even imagine how scary that must have been, but it sounds like you've got a strong little man on your hands. Praying everything keeps on the up and up for y'all. Grow baby grow!

We are doing good, I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks now. We got to start Kangaroo care holding on Saturday and it's amazing! I love holding and cuddling with my baby boy. 

I think the best advice I can give at this point is to take time to learn whatever the nurses will teach you, at first I was so afraid to touch him, I thought I would hurt him or do something wrong but now I change his diapers all by myself and feel comfortable adjusting him and getting him all tucked in and cozy in his bed.

I know what you mean about being afraid to touch him! He's so tiny and fragile looking!! I have been feeling a little more comfortable just reaching in and placing my hands on him. He hasn't been cleared yet for kangaroo care but I think pretty soon. The nurses told us they will have us doing a lot of hands on care very soon!!!
