Measles in NY

Did anyone else see this? https://www.cbsnews.com/news/measles-outbreak-in-new-york-city-health-officials-warn/ Apparently there's a measles outbreak in NY City, so you ladies there take care.

    We have 2 reported cases so far in our area (the one that started it just came back from the phillipines where there is a known outbreak). Not to start a vaccine debate, but damn parents who don't vaccinate, but think before you go to an area that is having a huge outbreak with your unvaccinated child and come back to infect the rest of the kids at school.

    THAT'S US!  I work in healthcare in the outbreak zone!  We have signs everywhere, the DOH is all over this place.  I sent my OB a panicked e-mail two nights ago at 10 pm, asking if my MMRs from 10 years ago were still good...she seemed to think they were.  From what I understand, none of the victims were vaccinated (the adults couldn't prove it, anyway)......yay vaccines for protecting people from the measles!
