Implantation bleeding AFTER bfp?

I know this has already probably been discussed....I'm a first time mom!  I have pretty regular periods, last one was Feb 8th.  I was expected to get my next one March 10th.....I tested positive with 5 tests on March 5th!  I know the exact date of conception...February 21st.

Just now I saw some blood when wiping, it was pink, then I kind of wiped harder and saw it was darker like period blood.  But only when I wipe.  I had a blood test the day after I did my HPT, and that confirmed pregnancy too.  I'm just worried this is my period coming or something.  How long did it last for everyone?

Spotting can happen during pregnancy. It isn't implantation bleeding, as (if that happened) it would have occurred before you got your BFP. Implantation has to happen in order for HCG to be produced and HCG is what turns a pregnancy test positive. It also wouldn't be your period coming as a period is the shedding of your uterine lining. You cannot have a period and be pregnant at the same time. Some women have zero spotting, some have brief spotting, and some have spotting throughout their pregnancy. If it continues or gets worse, you can give your doctor a call to ask them for advice and what to look for/at what point it becomes concerning to them. Usually that will be if you are bleeding enough to fill a pad an hour. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

@SF, I have been having some dark-brown spotting Saturday and Sunday.  Causing me to wear a liner and mainly present with wiping.  I also got my BFP on Saturday morning!!

 My period was supposed to be around this time, but had been varying slightly 30-35 days.  

Naturally, I am concerned and called the on-call doc this morning.  I discussed with him that it is brown in color, I am not in any pain, and it is causing me to wear a liner.  He asked when my last period was and I told him Feb 7.  

He said that he is not concerned that it is "implantation bleeding".  He would like me to come in this week "anytime" for an ultrasound.  I said "no rush?".  He said "no. Just sometime this week."   

Soo I'm guessing that this is normal.  Good luck to you!
