At what age did your babies get this down efficiently? We started at 6 months. He gets it at every meal. Tried 3 different kinds (hard spout, soft spout, straw), and have stuck with the one that worked best for about 2 months now. He tries it for a second or two then seems to give up. He still bangs it, throws it, offers it to everyone else. I'd really like to be off bottles at 12 months.
This is what we currently use....

IT'S A BOY
We use the take and toss brand because it's the easier for us (and it's what daycare uses).
Our babies are going to go through a huge transformation in the next 4 months, so I wouldn't worry too much about him not taking it right now. Just keep offering and (I swear!) magically one day he will get it and you can be "off bottles", but if you aren't I wouldn't sweat it either.
Babies can smell your controlling nature, so don't let it on that you want them to do something. They will, undoubtedly, do the exact opposite.
