...i was in a time-suck meeting, so H got The Call that we were going to meet DD that afternoon. His first words when he called me were, "So, do you want to be a mommy?"

Today I'm having lunch with my smart, funny, opinionated, and all around great daughter.

    That's so wonderful. Happy birthday to you! And happy mama-versary! I can only imagine how you and your husband felt when you go that call! I get the chills whenever I hear adoption stories. I love it.
    Happily married Mom to 2 beautiful little girls, 2 dogs and 2 cats (all rescues), 2 fish and one 29 year-old firebelly newt.
    ~ Hoping to add to our family by adoption via Connecticut DCF. Application submitted on 2/4/14. First home visit on 6/23/14. Started class 11/17/14.~

    @Dr.Loretta - dang it, I read this in my office and started tearing up!  That just had to be a spectacular moment in your life...and DH and DD!
