When did your baby really begin eating solids (not just a couple spoonfuls for taste)?

  • A is 9 months and I am still waiting for her to eat so I could not vote for her. My sons were well in to eating solids before 6 months.

Around six months. He was into purees and oatmeal right away. Still not a big finger food fan.
  • We do BLW.  My 1st and 3rd kids have been voracious eaters right away.  My 3rd eats more than his siblings most meals right now.  I know that for our kids eating slows WAY down by 2 years old so I'm not surprised.  DS is 8m2w and devours meals.  He eats what we eat.

DD began eating table food at 5 3/4m, DS1 didn't really start eating table food 'till around 7-8m, and DS2 at 5 1/2m.

This pic is from 2 nights ago, so about 8 1/2m. He cleared his plate and his 2y old brother pushed him his plate which he also finished.
