Still NO gestures at 11 months!

DS turns 11 months on Tuesday and is still not gesturing at all.  No pointing, no waving, no clapping, not pattacake.  For talking, he said mamamamam and babababa and has been experimenting with his voice more recently like squealing and screeching etc.  At 9 months he saw a speech pathologist, who was not worried about his development.  Since then, the only communication skill he has added is playing peekaboo by himself.

Anyone else have a quiet baby still?

Mine turned 11 months last Friday (21st) and doesn't gesture. He waved once and he holds his arms up when he wants to be picked up, but doesn't clap or point or anything. I'm not worried and I don't think we've missed any milestones according to WTE. It says most accomplish those by 13 months, so we still have time. Ask at your 1 year appointment if he hasn't by then.

Mine didn't do much at 11 months but now at 12months does it all (high 5, blows kisses, waves, claps, points at everything). Some kids do it slowly one thing at a time others wait and do it all in a short period of time. At 11 months there is little concern if babe is not yet doing these things.
