I am being honest when I say that I wish I wasn't posting this, but I feel like the truth needs to be told.

So, as many of you know, there was a big shit show between two of our S13 Bumpies. For that story, please follow these two links:

As you will see in the second link above, Jocelyn posted "proof" that Mallardducky sent a nasty message to her in the form of a screenshot. Later, she shared with some people that she discovered that the "Mallardducky" that sent her the PM was actually some sort of AE that had a later join date and lower post count than the real Mallard. She was asked to give a link to the profile of this AE, and she declined. Apparently, we were supposed to just trust the screenshot of the message.

I am here to tell you that message is a fake.

Most of you likely have an inbox with some PMs. Please go to your inbox and look at one of them. Now, look at the URL. At the end of the URL you will see /#Item_ plus a number at the end. This number at the end corresponds with number of messages in that particular PM thread. As you can see from the screenshot given to us by Jocelyn, this message would have been the THIRD message in a thread PMs. You can even see that it is not the first message in the thread because of the light colored line above it.

You can see an example from my own inbox. There are two messages in it, so it says /#Item_2:

Now, why would Jocelyn have three PMs from some random AE masquerading as another Bumpie? Why would she not post the entire thread of messages for us to see?

The reason is because this is an altered message. As we know from the August '14 link above, Mallard posted the PMs from December between her and Jocelyn in an effort to be transparent saying that that was the only communication she had with Jocelyn over PM. "Coincidentally" there were 3 total messages, meaning that the end of the URL for those messages would also read /#Item_3, just like the screenshot Jocelyn posted between her and what she now claims is an AE. We also know that the last message in the original messages from December was from Mallardducky. 

Essentially, Jocelyn took the last message from the thread of PMs between her and Mallard from December, and altered it to say what she had told everyone Mallard said. This is quite simple, as was pointed out by a few people in the thread from A14. 

Her "proof" is bullshit. @JocelynB0911 You said that it was an AE that sent you that message. Prove me wrong and post a link to that AE's account. We have mods here who can find out the IP address.  You have been asked to do this already, and you have refused. Why? Because there is no AE. You made up that message. It never existed. 

@JocelynB0911, you owe @Mallardducky an apology. In fact, you owe every single person (including myself) who backed you up an apology. 

And remember, TB never forgets.

Okay, maybe you don't care and don't want to see it anymore. Fine. But some of us went to bat for Jocelyn without hesitation. We said crappy stuff to MD and we made her feel like crap. I'm not a fan of her in general, but she didn't deserve that.

A lot of us are/were very good friends with Jocelyn. She lied to us and made us feel awful for her because the original message "sent" to her was despicable. Turns out she made the whole thing up, so yeah... it's probably not going to die.

Good for you for not caring. But some of us do.

@HBirdie... The he said she said 20pg drama linked above was never on our board, so I don't see why it is now (unless I missed it , but I'm pretty sure I didn't). The point I'm trying to make is.. all of this is so middle school and childish and I don't understand why it needs to be drug all over TB.

I came in late to this since I had no idea what was going on. Since I didn't participate in this, I neither need an apology nor do I owe MD one. What I will say though is this. I love Jocelyn. I would bet that most of S13 does. Whatever happened tonight/last night doesn't change that. The gratitude for the support she gave to me through all the scary months of pregnancy and then through my baby's adventures, does not shift. I am sure so many of you feel the same since she's one of our most loved S13 members. 

With that said, one of the things I admire most about her is her bluntness and straightforwardness. That's why this whole thing was just so odd. I know she's friends with so many of the S13 members so for the sake of friendship I just want to understand what happened and what the motivation behind the whole thing was, since this is just so out of character. And I do hope she's ok.

I know there are some of you who feel betrayed and hurt and honestly you have every right to feel that way. But now I think it's time to let it rest and leave Jocelyn alone.

Grief is a horrible emotion and sometimes people can not get passed the process of dealing with it. After thinking about it for a while I truley believe that she used this whole thing as a type of healing to try to move on. People do some crazy things when they are hurting. I understand that now.

Give her time and space to clear her head. As stated before she has given great support to others and have really help a lot of you.

I have forgiven her and put it behind me, also I want to apologize for some of the things I said in that thread to @JocelynB0911 it wasn't nice and I am sorry.

I know it's hard but I hope you can forgive her too and give her support now more than ever.

I haven't posted on here in a while but I have to come out of lurking.  Do you people not have anything better to do than to "investigate" what you THINK was something she made up?  Who in the freaking hell has time to do something like that?  How would Jocelyn possibly have time to do that?  Just because she didn't jump up everyone's butts as soon as you asked for screen shots and links doesn't mean that she didn't have any proof.  It just meant that she doesn't owe you anything.

MD, I'm sorry that you got dragged into something if you honestly had nothing to do with it.  However, I honestly believe that someone AE'd using your name, and Jocelyn was the victim of it.

She may not owe us anything, but she does owe the links to Mallard. She easily could have cleared it up, yet she continues to ignore the people who are questioning the situation. Huge red flags, HUGE.

Mallard, honey, don't make excuses for her. She said some pretty damn harsh things. If it truly was an AE, she should have posted an apology asap to you. Also, the can I be let back in post? Obnoxious to say the least.

To the people who say we should let this die - I went to bat for Jocelyn without batting an eye and without any proof of her assertions. Turns out, I shouldn't have done that. So yeah, I'm angry. And yes, I'm sure the other people who went to bat for her are angry too. I also want answers because for me, this is proof that she lied.

She can put it to rest really easily by showing us the link of the supposed AE who messaged her. THAT is how it can die. Why are people so eager to just let her off the hook when she hasn't given us any reason to?

@Mallardducky I think it's classy of you to post what you did. However, for those of us who defended Jocelyn, we feel like we need answers. Again, I'm sorry you got drug into this.

I backed up Jocelyn. I'm pretty shocked how this all turned out but if anything else needs to be said should be done privately between the both of them.

If I learned anything I need to stay out of other people's shit. I don't need answers. MD does if this was all made up.

My feelings aren't hurt. I love S13.

I am with Whitneylux in that I heart September 2013 and staying out of other individuals shit is best. Also, I am with StaceyMack and am jealous of free time because I don't recall any of this drama nor feel like "catching up" on it by Matlock OPs investigation. Both ladies can handle it between the 2 of them if they want to keep going but I have a feeling neither do?

This is ridiculous. This was never just between Jocelyn and Mallard, so the idea that it is between individuals is ludicrous. It was ALL OVER TB yesterday, and those of us who defended her deserve to know why she did what she did. 

Again, I'm pulling out my Bingo card. How I spend my free time is no one's business but my own. 

ETA: Most of you saying that we should let it die would never have let it go if this were still about Mallard.

Coming out of lurking. Haven't been on in quite sometime, but am I the only one who kind of doubted all of Jocelyn's drama and stories from the beginning? I think this confirms my thoughts that she has perhaps lied about a lot more than just this. Just my two cents

I don't think it's right to sweep all this under the rug because it's straight up bullying. It was in high school when the mean girl spreads slut rumors about the unpopular girl, and it is now in a more adult sophisticated form.

Every time a newb cries at us about 'bullying' and we tell them that we don't do that here, we set ourself up for the obligation to stop actual bullying on the boards. This smear campaign against an unpopular member to get her excommunicated is it. And it is not ok.

At this point, I don't know what to think or feel about the entire situation. I am, however, very disconcerted by the silence from the admins. Several members of S13 and TTGP(?) should not have been put in the position of Bump Investigators. An admin stepping in to verify information would have stopped the insanity before lunch yesterday. If no one was made aware of this, I apologize and I will take care of that right now: @BumpJackie . And yes, I do believe this calls for admin intervention. We either have a member photoshopping a message from another member OR we have an AE made to look like another member's account by taking advantage of TB's font and then sending out messages as the member. This whole thing is just depressing and I am crying as I type this. It is literally tearing a group of friends apart. And I don't mean internet friends. I mean honest to God friends that have participated in play dates and were planning more in the future. Please, @BumpJackie we need some finality.

Only two people know the truth and @GetmanShredders is right. An admin needs to get involve and fix this issue. We have them in order to keep order, right? Everyone can say what they want to, but it is all just speculation. People didn't like mallard before this incident and is probably why it was easy to believe Jocelyn. Even if mallard is innocent people still won't like her. Things clearly got out of control yesterday. I think non S13ers should go back to their respective board just like the drama shouldn't have been brought to A14 or TTGP. Everyone has been beating a dead horse for at least half a day.

In addition, myself and many other mods conferred to see how to handle this and agreed that bumpjackie should be making any further decisions as it relates to this. If it wasn't brought to A14, I'd never know about it.

Now I'm just trying to make sure that those of you who hate MD for past things don't continue this smear campaign out of spite.

Watching a thread and becoming actively involved are two different things. I just want the drama to end. I don't hate Mallard (let's stop being dramatic), but I am not a fan. Having said that, I never posted in the A14 thread. My interests lie in getting our board back to where it was before. And before didn't include you or the other chicks who want to hang on to drama. We have our own mods for S13. We're good.
