DS woke up with a 100.5 underarm temp, some diarrhea, and extra cuddly and sleepy. I left a message with the doc because it's Friday, but what temp gets your or your doc's attention?
When you take it under the arm you add a degree. I wouldn't be worried. Give some motrin if he seems uncomfortable or it gets higher. Stick to the BRAT diet until the diarrhea is gone.
102 I start worrying. Doc considers high to be 104... I would be panicking at that point

Thanks ladies! He's never had a temp higher than 100 before, and my pedi doesn't really care about it until it's over 103 for more than a day. Plus he's been having regular wet diapers so they're unconcerned. Poor baby, he still doesn't feel good!
My older DD gets super high temps. She was 104.6 once at the pedis office, but since she was eating and drinking, talking, and playing, and it came down with Motrin, they weren't super concerned. Our pedi says to treat the symptoms not the number. If they're 101 but lethargic, he wants to see them. They also want to see them after 3 days of fever, unless it's very obviously a stomach bug or something. I do tend to take the baby in, becausese she's only had one fever that wasn't an ear infection. But the older one can tell me what hurts.
