Ovidrel- advice needed

I had my first round of femara this cycle and did my first ovidrel trigger shot on CD 14. I'm on CD 17 today and although I know temps may not be accurate due to meds, I did temp today and did not get a temp rise. This still worries me that I may not have ovulated when I was supposed to after taking the ovidrel. I also know that ovidrel should turn an hcg test positive for many days after you trigger. We were worried that I am not responding to the ovidrel, so I tried a cheap internet hcg test and it is not turning positive. This is my first cycle, so I'm not sure how long the trigger takes to turn a test positive, is this too soon? Should I call my RE to request an ultrasound to check my follicles? I am incredibly bloated and have PCOS, so I'm concerned that if I didn't O when I was supposed to (yesterday), I may be overstimulated from the meds.

Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated!

UPDATED: I did turn the cheap hcg test positive, so that was a relief. I'm going to get a hold of my RE tomorrow and request an ultrasound just to make sure things are okay.

Hey-so ovidrel has given me positive hcgs within 48 hrs...also are you doing IUI or ICI, if so when? If you triggered CD14...you should O CD16?

I did end up getting a positive hcg test. We triggered CD 14 and did icis at home CD 15 and 16.

When I use Ovidrel, it takes a few days before I start to feel the side effects. I don't consistently test it out, so not sure about the hcg tests. I'm glad you were able to get a positive though. Bloating could be a side effect for you. That happened to me the first time I used it. This past time the bloating wasn't as bad. Using Ovidrel and other meds does come with the chance of OHSS. Not a bad idea to get it checked just in case.

Thank you. I'm going to try and reach my RE today. I left a message last night but haven't heard back. I think an ultrasound would put my mind at ease that I don't have a bunch of follicles growing. I did get another positive hcg test today, but it was very faint. I'm guessing that it is pretty much out of my system at this point.

How many iu of HCG did you take? For me, it takes about 12 days for 10,000 iu of HCG to leave my system. If you took a small dose I could see the HCG leaving your body quickly... I'd definitely get an u/s to make sure your follicles ruptured. My temp always rises after I take HCG (within 36 hours) so it's a good idea to get that looked at!

I just heard back from the RE and they won't do an ultrasound. She says she has to talk to the doctor (who is split between three offices) and just to increase my fluids and protein to help with the bloating. I guess my concerns are ridiculous because that's how she made me feel.
