I joined the TT fb fan page in hopes of finding a really cheap used one to try for ON. Yeah, right. 

Its like a whole different world. These women buy, sell, trade, and collect these diapers like baseball cards. It blows my mind how much some of them must have spent on their stashes.

As someone who has never spent even $8 on a single diaper and dislikes prints, I guess I will just never get it haha.

Yup. I tell people this all the time. They retain their value. So even if you quit CDing to can easily make your money back.

I'm on the page too and routinely horrified. Just the last couple of days, everyone has been posting their stash shot. The biggest one I calculated today was well over 1k. That's assuming full price of $42 of course. But good God damn.

Yeah, there was one stash that had at least 30.

It's just so funny. One lady today said- "I collect wipes! They're like CD trading cards!"

I don't belong to the FB group. I have purchased several TTs from Spot's Corner, all in VG to EUC and never paid more than $30.

I think people are like this about a lot of different brands. Cloth diaper trading cards is pretty accurate. I saw someone selling a BG 4.0 baseball for $75. It's a simple with diaper with red tread around it. Yeah, it's cute but it's not worth that.

I just think it's crazy on the TT FB that they will order a diaper at stocking then when they get it resell it!

I've been surprised at the amount of NIPs some people have! Why buy if you aren't gonna use?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed the obsession over these from other CD moms on the fb page. I'm not sure how these ladies afford a whole stash, and buy weekly. Its the same ones every week it seems like. I've often wondered why even buy those diapers, just to sell them and not use them?

Have you seen the pictures of the mail some of them take? BINS of TT. Unreal.
I bought 3 diapers, I'm not a fan, I won't buy any more.

The prints are cute and all, but not worth the money imho.

I like my TTs because they are well made and they work really well. Mine are all solid colors. Prints are fun, but I'm really not into the whole feeding frenzy that I keep hearing about. My time is precious enough as it is.

Yep and just the BG artist series in general.  Just wait until they sell out of the newest ones.  The prices on those will skyrocket.  I will say that TT's have gone down in price (for used) since she started weekly stockings and the availability of customs.  When they were rare, they were selling for much more than what they originally sold for.  Also, the dipes on the BST include shipping in the price and TTs aren't the lightest things so shipping can get pricey.

So would it be a good idea to buy a couple of those BG and just hold on to them? Roughly, how long does a print stay around? Are we talking 6 month or a year or two?

If that's your thing.  Personally, I'm not into collecting in that sense.  BGs don't work for DS (synthetic sensitivity) so I'm not going to buy something that I can't use on him and possibly not use on future LOs.  I have TTs but I don't buy them to dick a mama out of money later on, I use them.

A print is around as long as there is an inventory of them.  They don't usually continue making them after 1 or 2 rounds.

There are two that if really like to try, but I'd rather get fitteds for night time and naps.

I think some of the women just like the chase. It's fun to snag a hard to get diaper.

Tots Bots are the same way. I was on the b/s/t FB group and wound up leaving because I couldn't handle the insanity. I haven't seen the same level on Little Butts.. People have entire stashes of them, but they're pretty much all in use. And I've never seen the price gouging there that pops up with the others.

I say, if those women are addicted and have huge NIP stashes…that's cool.  there are worse addictions

Sweet Southern Bums have been selling for crazy amounts lately. Just a few weeks ago one sold for over $2,000. Then the last couple of auctions the diapers have sold for over $200. I don't know what they are selling for used because I don't see them often. I don't have one so I don't know what the fuss is about...and for that price I will never know!

I'm actually not on FB! I sheepishly confess that I considered joining just for the b/s/t group, but am trying to hold firm. It'd make acquiring my TT wish list so much easier!

Dude, I gave up FB about 6 months ago. Last week, I made an AE just so I could get in on the groups. I totally got called out by Gretchen, too. They kept denying me to the group and then told me to email them. Then I had to explain the whole thing lol. It was a tad embarrassing. 

I'm going through and looking for you though.

The Twinkie Tush B/S/T is one of the nicer and more polite groups I joined. I joined a bunch just to try to gauge how much the other users liked the products and hoping to score something at a fair price. Binky D's are nuts. Those girls just scare me with their vehemence! The price gouging is outrageous there, too. The Soft Bums group asks for jaw-dropping prices on used shells, depending on print. Tots Bots is up there. The Goodmama group reminds me the most of trading cards. They seem way too prolific to be able to be asking those prices for used poop traps. ODCs seem to be just behind Binky Ds. The Bagshot Row diapers almost seem nice. The stockings aren't crazy insane with people being mean and the resale seems a reasonable 50-70% original cost rather than collectable.

I have no idea how any of them work on a bottom and I won't for probably another 6 months or so depending on how fast my baby grows!
