The Cheating Post Got Me Thinking...

My BFF is friends with a girl who is married and has kids.  This girl recently confided in my BFF that she reconnected with a guy she used to know, they were sending texts and emails to each other but before they met up or anything happened the guy stopped responding to her texts and unfriended her from FB.  This girl was really upset to the point of being in tears about it.  This girl was erasing text messages and keeping all this a secret from her spouse.  

The thing that I don't get is why she told my BFF all of this?  My friend's husband was groomsman in their wedding and Godfather to one of their kids.  I suggested that perhaps she confided in her because subconsciously she wants her husband to find out. Do you think people share that kind of information because they want to get caught, like a cry for help or something?   Just curious.

*Oh and I changed a detail in here and kept it a little vague just on the off chance somebody I know sees this.

I've heard it said that people have a "need to confess".....maybe she just needed to get it out there? Sounds like an odd situation. Like was she planning to cheat before he stopped talking to her? At the very least it sounds like she was having an emotional affair. Hiding stuff like that from one's H is not cool.

It sounds like she was considering it, but considering it and actually going through with it is a different story.
