Postpartum Depression

PPD anticipation

Hi-
I am a lurker, never commented before here, but have a question. I am about to have my 4th child. I had PPD very badly with my second and 3 rd child. I am preparing my self for this as a possibility this time around as well. I have therapist appts lined up and my MD is on board to help me as soon  as I have him in 3 weeks. My question is what else can I do. My husband suggested getting a nanny to help with the other children so i am not so overwhelmed. would you consider that?  I need suggestions I guess as to how to prepare for this, its scary.

Re: PPD anticipation

  • I told my parents and siblings I was having trouble with it and it helped to have them as support too. Get more people behind you and you'll feel better. Don't feel judged about it as 8 out 10 women experience some level of baby blues/ppd. Good luck!
