How Dilated were you before going into labor?

I know you can go from 0 to baby in no time at all but just for kicks I'm curious to see how dilated people were prior to going into labor.

I have been at 5 for over 2 weeks.

Update: I was 7-8cm before traditional labor started for me. I has been contracting for weeks(the real ones) but they had not been doing anything by wearing me out and preventing sleep.

I was a 6 at my appointment the day before she was born.  I had been dilated to 5 for two weeks before that.  The nurse's response when I got to the hospital was "Holy shit - why weren't you admitted at your appointment yesterday if you were 6 cm?"

I was at 2 cm from the moment I came into L&D up until about 2 hours before she was born. I didn't dilate at all past 2 cm until my water broke, and then it was 2 to 10 in less than 2 hours. No fun at all!

Went from 5 cm to 10 and delivered my baby within a hour. Checked into the hospital at 4cm.

SS. I decline cervical checks, plus I was having a c-section because of a breech baby. I was 4-5 cm dilated after being in labor for 2.5 hours, so I'm going to guess that I started at least a few cm dilated before that.

I was never checked - I was scheduled for an appt the Friday after I gave birth. I started feeling contractions are 1130 & went to the hospital at 330. When they checked me after I checked in I was at 8cm. I have no clue what I was before I started feeling contractions.

SS - also can't answer yet, but wanted to see the results.

DS1: I was 1cm at 9am on Tuesday morning, went into labor that night, arrived at hospital 1:30 Wednesday morning at 8cm, and he was born a couple hours later at 3:44.

DS2: I was 2cm on Thursday, went into labor Monday, went to hospital after two hours of contractions: still 2cm. He was born less than 5 hours later.

SS: 40 wks tomorrow and haven't been checked yet!

I was 2cm at my 34 week appointment on a Friday, my water broke the following Thursday and when they checked me at L&D triage I was 3... I only made it to 5 after 12 hours so I ended up having a c section.

SS because:

DD1 - Fort Knox before labor, but needed the help of Pitocin and Fowley Bulb due to stubborn cervix.

DD2 - 4 cm for two weeks, labored hard and fast with no help needed.

This baby - 1 1/2 for 4 weeks, induction scheduled.  I guess this one is more like my first, but contractions aren't sticking around long enough to be called active labor.

I was a 3 for almost 3 weeks before going into labor

I was at 3cm at my appointment on monday morning, went into labor that evening, she was born Tuesday morning at 6:50am

I was a "tight 2" when I went into labor. Walked for an hour to get things going and progressed to a "tight 3" - they sent me home and my water broke 30 minutes after we were discharged. It was slow to progress to 5-but after that things happened pretty quickly.

I had a c-section at 37 weeks and as far as I know, wasn't dialated at all. I never had a cervical check. So I guess SS.

I was induced, but dilated to 3 when I arrived at the hospital.

I was having hard-core contractions at 1 cm. They kept telling me I was an early labor, but it sure as heck felt like the real thing. Thankfully, they gave me an epidural at that point even though I was just 1 cm. I then dilated rapidly without the use of pitocin etc. so, I went from 1 cm to 10 cm in just six hours after getting an epidural. Therefore, I consider myself having wanted to active labor at just 1 cm.

Was less than 1 at my appointment on Friday (almost 39 weeks). Started having contractions Tuesday night at almost midnight, went into the hospital at 4:45am and was dilated to 3 1/2. Had her by 10:14. so you really don't have to be dilated at all!! And I had SUCH an easy labor and delivery, even though I started out not dilated much at all.

My little guys was early but my water broke on Thursday no dilation or signs of labor.  Was in the hospital being monitored all day Friday and Saturday no signs.  The only did a visual but they said my cervix was still closed.  Sunday morning I went into labor and my guy was born just a few hours after the first signs of labor.

With my son I was like 0 .5-1 cm and went into labor and had him 10 hours later. This time I am 3.5 cm or so and have been for the last week. Still waiting for full on labor, LOL

I was at a 3 the day before E was born, but within 30 mins of water breaking (which started labour) I was at 5 or 6. So somewhere around there.
