This is a weekly thread for runners who are due June 2014, that is posted on Mondays. All who run--or who want to start running--are welcome, regardless of mileage, pace, ability, size, shape, or terrestrial status. This is a place to talk about running while pregnant, training, runs, races, gear, recovery, nutrition, and whatever else we can think of.
Anyone who posts here regulaly should feel free to start the thread on Mondays if it seems to be missing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ How were your runs this week? Lay it on us...GTKY: If you compete in races and have acquired medals, do you display them? Pics welcome!
Re: *~*Born to Run June Bug Check In*~*
How were your runs this week? Lay it on us... I only got one run in last week (3 miles). However, I'm going to move on and focus on this week since I have a 5-miler on Saturday that my husband and a bunch of my running club buddies are running with me. I've already gotten today's run in (4 miles) so I am off to a good start.
GTKY: If you compete in races and have acquired medals, do you display them? Pics welcome! I have a medal holder in our kitchen/laundry room area that I bought off Etsy. I keep all my medals on it and some of my bibs. The rest of my bibs are in a shoebox in my bedroom.
GTKY: I've only done a few races and have 1 metal. If I start getting more, I will prob create a closet display similar to yours.
GTKY: haven't really "won" anything... I have only done 5 or so 5ks. I don't keep my bibs either... Maybe someday I'll do a half or something... I'm impressed @babygabe614!
I hear you! I volunteer and fundraise for Girls on the Run and raised money for them when I ran the Philly marathon in November, but I was able to do it through my local chapter. If it had been in the city I couldn't have participated at the same level. I'm on their 5k committee now which again is through my local council. That's another great organization to get involved with if you have a council near you!

Like pp, I plan to run as long as my body will allow me! My short term goal is to run up until the third tri- hopefully longer. Taking it one run at a time and listening to my body, giving myself plenty of time to recover in between runs and lots of lower impact activity (walking, swimming, cycling, strength training) to supplement.
I am a FTM & signed up for a 1/2 marathon the end of September hoping that delivery goes well in June and goes a little earlier than my due date :-)
So can't wait! For this little new running partner to arrive!!:-)
