Yeah she's totally bragging. 

I'll admit I'm completely niave about what a corporate schedule looks like, but why would I create a post to brag about a schedule?  The only person I know who doesn't work in a school is my BIL.  He works as a loan officer and is able to bring his son to school, seems to leave early frequently, takes off very frequently, takes random days and vacations all the time, so it's seemed to me that a schedule outside of teaching can be quite appealing as well.  Looks like he may be in the minority.  But again, I don't get why I would waste my time bragging about this.

It depends.  DH has a pretty good gig.  He works from home one day a week and is off every other Friday.  He also has pretty good vacation time and leaves early certain days.  However, I as a teacher still have much more time off than he does.  And while my DH can leave early certain days, I get to leave at 2:30 EVERY DAY.  (my school day ends early).

Does your BIL have the entire summer off?  Sorry.  I don't think there is any other job out there that is as good as teaching as far as time off.
