On a lighter note... I told my kid to go the fuck to sleep and she did. Never in a million years would I have thought that would have worked.

Hugs @helloblueeyes‌. DH's grandpa died the last week in June. Since my grandma has Alzheimer's, he would have been the last great grandparent to have a relationship with our baby so I feel for you.

Diaper vent: I love pampers swaddlers, I love the crunchy earth mother brown bag diapers, and I love Safeway brand. Huggies little snugglers can go die!! Madeleine just leaked through three of them in the past two hours...and one of those times was on my dad's GF (who thankfully didn't mind.) ugh!! So now we have about 75 useless NB diapers

@litera‌ on the topic of mil's.... I haven't let mine over in 5 days ( she would stop bye every day and make ridiculous comments that set me off) anyway I thought id be nice to send her some pics and since LO looks just like me I sent a picture that most resembles my husband..... Haha I tried!

And don't tell anyone IRL that you think your pump is saying words, bc then anytime that person is within earshot, they'll poke their head in to tell you their opinion of what it's currently saying. Thanks Great-Grandma.

Those sound really useful for visits by inlaws or people who overstay their welcome.

I love when my sister loves on her and gives kisses, hate it when mil does it. Realized I didn't have a problem with the kissing just the person doing it.

I'm not particularly fond of anyone touching him period. I'm super territorial and will eyeball the hell out of you while you're holding him. Even DW sometimes. She likes to drop her phone on people's faces -_- I'll never forget. We were in bed with DS2 when he was a newborn and a TLC commercial came on where the dad drops the phone on baby's face. We were all apalled because, who accidentally drops a phone on their baby's face? Apparently, DW because, 2 seconds after the commercial goes off, she accidentally drops the phone on DS's face.....

I wish someone would Invent a formula burp spray that I can use on people when I want them to leave me alone. I can be giving LO kisses and she lets a burp rip and it's enough to make me gag. Well played E

I get extra excited when I see there are 10 or more new posts on a thread.

DD is starting to outgrow her newborn clothes but 0-3 are still huge on her. She's in this awkward in between stage that makes it look like I don't know how to properly dress my child.

I know that guilt, but remember that your sanity and happiness is also important to your and DS2's health.  the Formula Feeding thread is full of women who started with formula, are supplementing or had to quit BF or EPing.  Go read about us or ask questions.  Sometimes switching to formula is the best choice.

How did you know what I was thinking?
No but seriously, pumping sucks. I feel the same way about how he eats much much faster with a bottle, and that sucks more too because it means I get to sit and pump in a room by myself while someone else gets to feed my babe. Pumping totally sucks, but I can't quit. I want it for his health. It just sucks that I have to put all this time and effort into pumping and STILL have to supplement.

@BPaws‌ I hear ya. I'm a FTM so not dealing with what you are dealing with but I sympathize. My absolute best pump so far was 4 1/2 ounces and it was just today because I went almost 8 hours between. I'm popping fenugreek like its Skittles. (Not really but seems like it). It hardly seems worth the effort for so little. A normal pump is 1/2ounce per hour. So usually 2-2 1/2 ounces every 4 hours. And LO is eating about 25 ounces a day.

I'm about to break my own rule and text a surgeon I work with to ask her if she would look at DH's hand before the stitches get removed.  I just don't want him getting them taken out before it's healed well enough and I know they'll just send the nurse in to do it without really looking at it.  He has to be cleared by the employee health nurse before he can go back and I just want a wound consult beforehand (he's a nurse as well and I don't want him in isolation rooms with compromised tissue).  I haven't asked for a favor before and I hate feeling like I'm getting special treatment, but I'm just too freaking paranoid to not do it.  Another fear is that it won't be ready and they won't let him go back to work.  That means no income since my PTO has been used up on maternity leave, and he hasn't been there long enough to accrue PTO.  Ugh.  I'm stressed.

@litera‌ that's how I felt and why I took so long to write it. It was therapeutic to get it out, though and it was good to get it done while I still had it fresh in my mind!
