Today I realized I've been hardcore nesting at work (instead of at home!). I work 8-10 hours a day on my feet, walking, lifting, ect. So by the time I get home I'm completely shot. My boss loves me for it because our dept looks amazing. It pisses me off bc why am I nesting at a place where I wont be for the next 6-8 weeks lol!
@litera I got that one (or one that looks a lot like it) from zulily prior to LO. It's awesome! I may or may not have slept in only it and the mesh panties in the hospital (damn hot flashes pp). At least I had a robe for getting up to use the bathroom or in the morning waiting for breakfast O:-)
After my appt today, I'm convinced my babies are out to prove me wrong. I am still hanging out at 3cm dilated even after having contractions all day Sunday! With #3 I had told everyone "Oh I never go early, I'm usually late" and she came a month early! This time I keep predicting he's going to come early but since there was no change, maybe he'll be late Bottom line, I need to suck it up and realize he's going to come out when he's ready. In the meantime, I'm going to hop on the treadmill, DTD and eat spicy foods!
My IKEA slipcover doesn't fit my chair ( I am so not happy about this. White slipcovers are hard to find and it's looking like we'll need to have something custom made because the chair is an unusual shape. Why did I wait so long!!!!!!
I changed my bump status to parent and now the mobile app defaults me to June's board and I have to manually go to July's. Im way more annoyed than I should be. I think I may change her birthdate back to my due date.
Baby Girl is 2 weeks old today! It was me EDD and instead she's already been here for 2 weeks. She's perfect, but quite a grunter when she's settling in to sleep and I'm over it. Last night she slept in her room for the first time and we have officially started sleep training/getting on a regular schedule. Hopefully she takes to it like DS did (started at 3 weeks with him and he was STTN by week 8).
They closed my office today so I have it off. Why the fuck did my husband think it is ok to climb up on the bed and start measuring the ceiling fan when I'm clearly trying to sleep in?????
And start a noisy conference call in the bedroom????
Plus also he keeps telling me to not buy clothes for the baby because his mom bought a ton and keeps buying. Whelp, I've been trying to get pregnant for 5 years, have had surgeries, multiple IVF, and carried this baby for 36+ weeks and if I wanna buy some clothes! I will!!!!! Grumble grumble grumble.

THIS! My mother keeps telling me I need to return some clothes because there is no way she will have enough time to wear them.
No thanks. If I want to buy all the clothes in the world I will and I will change her 2x a day if I want. Leave me aloneeee
I may have found a slipcover that will work! I'm doing a cautious happy dance for now \:D/ It's sad how upset I am over the whole issue. This is the definition of a First World Problem.
Right now I'm dealing with everyone having an opinion about what *size* clothes I need. My mom is giving me crap for having any newborn or 0-3 month stuff at all because "No one actually ever uses that stuff, it's all too small!" and SO's mom is the complete opposite trying to constantly tell me we don't have nearly enough newborn sizes and questioning why we don't have any preemie stuff on hand because afterall SO was in newborn stuff for 6 weeks.. well of course he was he was 5 weeks early.
Buy what you want! Clothes are the last thing anyone needs to give opinions on IMO. I had mostly 0-3 and just a couple of newborn items people gifted us. DD is tiny and doesn't fit into any of it. Premie size wouldn't work, but the newborn clothes are mostly too big so we just put her in some 0-3 that were extra small until we could go and grab some newborn sizes from the store and wash them up really quickly. It wasn't a big deal at all to go grab a few things that we needed after she was here.
Someone gave us a very nice portable baby swing that we don't need (I got the swing and mamaroo we registered for). I took it back to target w no gift receipt today. Anything priced over $70 you have to exchange it for something in the same dept. I do not have a need for $85 more in baby stuff. I couldn't return it for diapers or baby wash or stuff we actually could use more.
I just got a call to update us on the delivery of the nursery furniture. We scheduled delivery for the 10th when we placed the order, but the guy just called that we're on track for delivery on the 21st. Um, what? I told him there was no way I ever agreed to that as my due date was the 20th and I'm having a C-section on the 15th. There was a good reason why I wanted it here on the 10th, and why you told me it would be. He said he'd call the company to see about speeding things up, and left me a message that he's thrilled to tell me it will be delivered on the 15th. Great, asswipe, thanks for listening. We're sort of not going to be here. So now nothing will be delivered and we can't put a single thing away until after I come home from having a c-section with a newborn in tow.

PSA - all should be forewarned that 90% of my posts these days are coming from my topless pumping station. So yeahs, I'm interacting with you all while my tatas are being stimulated. :0

We had some items (one was a RNP and I had already received a different one from BRU) that I didn't register for and then went and added them to my Target registry as purchased and then took them back and got the amount on a gift card. I didn't know if it would work, but it did, so you may try that option?

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
2cm 50% effaced woot woot! Even though it means practically nothing in terms of when labor will actually start it's better than 0 and 0 and 2 less cm I have to "labor" through. Now just hoping she doesn't decide to come during DS's bday tomorrow! Hahah
He's been sleeping a majority of the time as I expected but when he's up, he's up lol. I call him Mr. Wiggles because he's always moving around. I'm not surprised because he moved a lot in my belly. He's been eating pretty normally as well (breastfeeding) which is a relief because I had some trouble latching before with my older babes. DW does some photography and got this pic of him today. Was gonna share it Wednesday but, what the heck! Have an early pic! I love how in the sun, his hair is almost auburn. Ugh! He's so perfect and squishy!
On a negative side though, DD has not taken to him as much as I hoped she would. She's so distant from him and perhaps even jealous. We're very concerned about it and are unsure how to go about changing that. Honestly, I think she's upset it's not a little sister
I'm so ticked that I missed the hospital photographer. Even though we're having family pictures done this weekend, I love the hospital pictures. I was in such a hurry to get discharged so I could rest at home.
@Bpargood make sure you ask them to come by your room. We had a really great experience delivering with a midwife this time.
Re: Random thread- for all things random.
ETA at least I also ordered baby's first books! Madeline, The Runaway Bunny, Doggies and I Love You Forever!
My two nursing bras and all the washable breast pads that i washed and thought i put in my hospiyal bag, but arent there. WHERE ARE THEY?
Fuck today.
@browneyedtornado Please tell me you just Ender's Game'd.
Me too!
Clothes were also considered a different dept.
