Pizza Hut just saved me money and calories by not letting me pay for my delivery via credit card because my subtotal was $0.50 less than the minimum. Thanks Pizza Hut!!!
You're good.  I would have just thrown in a small order of breadsticks.

My chair came in today. I'm kind of disappointed in the color. :(

    It's too green.

ETA: And now that I see them beside each other they look much closer than I thought. Trust me, it's greener in person.
Ugh!  Those shades of blue/green can be so tricky sometimes!  I ordered something on Amazon recently that appeared teal in the picture, and was advertised as teal in the description.  When it got here, it was totally green.  Just basic crayola green.   X(

  • I just bought my blue glider for the Nursery, a couple of Seahawk green canvas bins for LittleDude's changing table and a king sized waterproof mattress pad. (insert water-breaking joke here)

I don't think I've ever felt more like a Mother, than when I just skipped over a pair of shoes, perfume and some cray expensive eyeliner. But I'm SO stoked about it :) I cannot wait to rock my baby boy in his dope ass nursery.
    :x
Looks like a nice comfy glider!  We already had one for DD's room and decided that we needed another for LO's room.  I found a great black and white one on Craigslist!

Tricky blue. DH said it looked "fine" but it's going to be way greener than the crib quilt I'm ordering from etsy. :(
:( I had this problem with DD's nursery! I finally went with "shades of green and pink" to lessen my stress. Here's hoping it matches better than you think it will.

  • The birth announcement thread is on fire! Slow down, babies! It's probably just picking up steam from here.

    ...........

you are almost 34 weeks. Holy. Shit.
Wow. I can't believe how fast this is going.

I know! It's crazy cakes. The last couple weeks I've had zero energy and I have some major brain farts. These poor people I work with are starting to see a whole new side of me; the dark side. I am not sleeping as well because it's harder to find a position where my breathing isn't restricted. I'm not ready for my body to give baby girl an eviction notice but getting obsessively curious about labor.
    How is everyone else feeling?

I'm just glad to see you're still getting through the weeks with us!

And I'm feeling hot and heavy. Literally lol. Max is so low on my bladder that it's hard to walk really. And I'm so hot :( just so hot. And hungry naturally lol.
  • @jensavicci‌ we all know you're hot! ;) thanks woman. I feel good about still being here too. The pelvic pressure is no fun, right? It's become challenging getting out of my chair sometimes. I'm lucky the A/C in my office is cranked up. Having ice to chew on helps too. Hope you can cool off a bit.

I agree!  I've always had this strong feeling like my LO is going to come early, and then yesterday I had my first experience with having a lot of contractions (usually I just have one or two and then I don't have any more for the day).  Never close enough or painful enough to bother calling the OB, but it definitely had me googling and was enough to get me off my feet with lots of water for the rest of the night!   Then I woke up to two more announcements, including one person who had a foreboding feeling all weekend that the baby was going to come... AHH!!

Lol aw shucks :\"> no but ice is the best and I recommend it to anyone who's been having the hot flashes. Last time, I was chewing on ice during labor lol it was gooooood. That or a stash of Popsicles! The struggle will be over soon though and we'll have our little munchkins in our arms instead of crushing our insides :D

Freaking leg cramps in the middle of the night! I get one in my calf several times a week and they are SO intense they nearly make me scream. I'm afraid I'm going to wake up DH by accidentally hitting him or yelling like I'm being murdered.
I got these almost every night last time around.  I've figured out what movement/stretch I do in bed now that I can usually catch it before it happens, but holy hell it hurts.

I had intense stomach pains last night.  Turns out my body wasn't happy with what I had for dinner (boo, I really liked my spicy chicken from Wendy's), but there was a period where I questioned if I should be timing it because they were coming and going.  And then I went to the bathroom and all I could think was how much worse it is when it's actually labor.

@MonkeyJD, I've been getting those too! I wake up so fast and start flailing almost immediately. I found that if I pull my knee up towards me and bend my toes up it helps. But dang, they hang around for so long. DH is making me eat more bananas these days haha. The verdict is still out on whether or not they're helping.

@jnnfrrose6 - I had a friend here at school tell me that labor feels like intense diarrhea cramps. Beautiful!

  • Sooooo since I haven't seen LittleDude since I was 20 weeks, I cannot believe at my last appt. the OB brought up that we need to do a "growth U/S" this Thursday at almost 33 weeks!

We were told before that there would be no more U/Ss since I'm low risk, which broke my heart and I've been going through withdrawals. I was super spoiled with how many I'd had before, probably about 8 of them early in my pregnancy.

But. The growth U/S convo came up when I mentioned to the OB that I was 10lbs at birth and DH was 9lb4oz. I'm a bit nervous because if LO IS big, I might have to have a C section, but I'm actually kind of hopeful about. 2 more sleeps until I see my bebe cannonball!
My growth U/S isnt for another 3 weeks when I'm 34 weeks, same as last time.  Maybe I'll actually get to see Sir W's face this time!

  • @LiteraChick‌ *squeal* That's so exciting! I couldn't believe how much more detailed Madeleine was at her last ultrasound. You'll really get a good view and you won't believe how much he looks like a fully formed baby now. Report back!! AW/SS that one!

I'm working on a press release right now :)) how do we all feel about coffee mugs with a close up of his profile? Too much? Should I stick with laminated calendars?

How 'bout a reusable tote with his picture on the side?

Omg Tundra, you totally beat me to it! Hilarious!! =D>
  • @literachick - I had a co-worker that was trying to sell thirty-one totes and she whipped out this HUGE tote in my office. She tells me that I could use it for toys for Emma. I was like, "That thing is huge!! I hope she doesn't have that many toys at the start!" And she seriously tells me that if I didn't want to use it for toys, then I could put Emma in it. Sadly, I have no window in my office or I would've jumped out of it. Instead I said very forcefully that I was absolutely NOT putting my baby in a tote bag!

I'm not sure if  my co-worker really thinks it's a good idea to put your baby in a tote bag like your MIL does or if she was just desperate to sell purses. Either way, apparently it's not just your MIL that thinks things like that. I don't know why it has taken this long for me to remember this story....probably a combination of pregnancy brain and willfully trying to forget that there really are people that think sticking a baby in a tote bag is okay.
My aunt has recently started selling this stuff and i totally would not be surprised (but will have to hold back the laughter) if i get one at my shower along with the same sort of message. Like i might be disappointed if she doesn't do it, because OMG the craziness. I actually would love to see my moms reaction.

I mean i already know i'm getting one of those odd origami owl necklace things from her, so it's totally with her line of thinking.

This little guy is sitting so low that I have to sit spread eagle behind my desk to be even a little comfortable. I'm contemplating doing my sitting backwards trick to help.

Idk why but when you said spread eagle that "drop down and get your eagle on" song by Nelly popped into my head. Hm. :|
