This is a weekly thread for runners who are due June 2014, that is posted on Mondays. All who run--or who want to start running--are welcome, regardless of mileage, pace, ability, size, shape, or terrestrial status. This is a place to talk about running while pregnant, training, runs, races, gear, recovery, nutrition, and whatever else we can think of.
Anyone who posts here regularly should feel free to start the thread on Mondays if it seems to be missing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ How were your runs this week? Lay it on us...GTKY: What time of day do you run?
Re: *~* Born To Run June Bug Check In *~*
GTKY: What time of day do you run? I used to go at 6am or 7pm before the time change/winter season and I loved running at this time. Now I am having to go mid-day just to allow it to warm up some. I can't go unless my husband is home b/c my kids are at home. It really has put a damper on my running. Can't wait for spring and time change again so I can go before DH goes to work.
Had an okay week until the end of the week where I just got lazy/defeated. Here's what I did:
Mon - 45 minutes elliptical
Tues- 50 minutes treadmill
Wed- 60 minutes treadmill walk
Thursday- 60 minutes swim
Friday/Saturday- OFF
Sun- 30 minutes walk with dog
Basically I just got lazy. Up until Friday, I thought I was having an awesome week so decided to get on the scale and basically no matter if I exercise or not, I gain a lot of weight each week. My doc even said something about it at my last appointment. I feel like no matter what i eat/if I exercise or not I always gain the same amount of weight. How am I suppose to control it if nothing is helping? It's extremely furstrating and put me in a bad mood all weekend.
GTKY: What time of day do you run?
I mostly do my workouts at lunch time at work. It's really the easiest time of day to do it. I loathe working out after work. Sometimes I do get up early but it's hard for me to get out of bed early these days.
GTKY: What time of day do you run? Depends on the time of year. Right now, I'm running on my treadmill after work during the week (5pm) and outside with my group on Saturday mornings (7am). During the summer months I prefer to get up at an ungodly hour - somewhere around 4-4:30am - and run before the sun comes up. It's just too damn cold to do that right now.

Eh. My runs were okay, got in 2 for 2-3 miles each. But I am still running so I'm happy about that. Some running is better than no running. Taking it one day at a time. Some days I feel great, some days not so much.
GTKY: What time of day do you run?
5:30 am, gym treadmill M-F. Sat/Sun could be anytime but I am really a morning workout person.

I was pretty proud of myself I went to the gym 5 times, total of 11 miles (3 3 milers, and 1 2). I also did a 2 mile speed walk yesterday. I'm hoping this week goes around the same. I had to use a treadmill one day because the track was closed and I wanted to die. I was so bored, I hated every minute. Also, I had my AS last Wednesday and I gained 8 lbs, in 4 weeks. I hate that I freak out about my weight. It makes me feel like a bad mom already

GTKY: What time of day do you run?
Around 6-7 p.m. usually on weekdays, and 12-3/4 on Saturdays/Sundays. I absolutely can't do mornings. It doesn't work for me, even when I do I am sluggish and stiff, so I prefer anytime after noon. Usually during the week its whenever DH gets home from work, before we eat dinner. It makes for some late dinners, but at least I get my run in!!
