Olive?

My husband is in love with this name for our baby girl and will not let it go. It was his grandma's first name but she went by her middle name, Verne. I am just not sure how I feel about about it. Too out there? Trying to hard? I tried saying how Olive would be a great middle name but he thinks its an amazing first name.

Meh. I just think of Olive as the delicious green food I put on my pizza and use in a tapenade.

I love the name, DH doesn't love it but if we have another DD I'll push to use it for the MN.

Love Olive. It's in our top 2 (alongside Violet) for if we have another girl. Don't think is out there at all.

I'm not a fan of Olive. I love Olivia (despite its popularity), but Olive is NMS.

I like Olive. To me it seems like a fresh and less used version of Olivia. I lump it in with older names like Hazel that are coming back, and I also think of the girl from Little Miss Sunshine.

I think it's really cute...but not sure how it would sound on an adult.  It does remind me of Drew Barrymore's daughter's name...Also, I have met several small dogs with the name.  I would think she might get mistaken for Olivia sometimes.  Overall, if you love it I would use it.

I really like Olive.  It's getting a little more popular lately but not crazy popular or anything, so no worries if you want to stay a little less common.

I like it and would definitely consider it if it had family meaning - now that I think of it, it does sound funny with our LN, but I'd certainly appreciate it on someone else's DD.

I love Olive.

It makes me think of "Spelling Bee" more than Popeye (Where it is pointed out that "I love" and "Olive" share the same letters.)  I also think that with the resurgence of Oliver lately, that Olive is going to make a similar comeback/

I'm king on meh on this name. It exploded on the scene after all the celebrities started naming their kids Olive.

Its NMS but its not too weird.
