I think I'd like it more if it weren't so damn windy. I hate the wind, and I'm not a huge fan of the snow in general. I lived in Tahoe for a winter and got a lifetime's worth of snow in those months.

Wind is the worst when it's cold.

Zoe feels similarly about it. She got to experience snow for the first time this afternoon and yelled "ALL DONE" every time I asked if she wanted to touch it. I think her face in this pic sums up her feelings pretty well.
When we walked out the front door, her immediate reaction was basically, "The fuuuuuuck?" Snow is clearly not to be trusted. And thank you @michiefmanaged611, I'm pretty fond of her face.

I've lived in Tahoe too! Small world! Snow is no joke up there. I was at Stateline by the casinos, goooood times.

I worked at Harrah's and lived about a mile and half from the casinos, on the California side. I had to be at work at 5am, and when the sky dumps several feet of snow from the time you park after work and when you get up at 3am, and your space is at the back of a narrow lot, you walk your happy ass to work. *sigh*

OMG. So freaking cute!

When did you live there? Maybe we're like ships passing in the dark!
This was in 2005/2006. I was in a show at the Horizon.
Ah, I was there in 2008. What kind of show?
I was a dancer/ assistant in a magic show. One of the funnest things I've ever done. ETA: I even met my H while I lived there! We met in da club. We were both working there.

That sounds fun! Tahoe was super boring for me, because I was a minor, lol. All I did was work, and then go back to my apartment and play WoW on my laptop.
I always forget my confessions. Always. I think of them on like Sunday or Monday and say to myself, "I should write that down." Then I don't, because I forget what it was like five minutes later.

That sounds like it would be exciting! Did you have a fancy costume?
We had a few of them. We had about 7 different dance numbers. We did 2 shows a night 6 nights a week. The first show of the night was the family show, the late show was the adult show. We wore less of the costumes for the adult show, lol.

Blame the fact you probably had a toddler yelling at you before you could write it down.

@monkeybabe, did you do any activities while up there? I spent many a night alone in my apartment bored out of my mind too.
No. I didn't know anyone except my coworkers at the casino, and they all just got drunk and had sex with each other (yay seasonal, from around the world, employee pool!) and I was a non-drinker with a bf back in Portland.

Oh yes, the great Brazilian takeover! I'll admit I did have some crazy times.

I often ate lunch in the employee cafeteria with this Brazilian guy, Tomas, and his gf. He was so fine. So, so fine.
Also, if I can think of a good confession, I am starting FFFC at 12:01 Pacific. That's really only 3-4 hours "early".
I did that once, but it might have been for the UO. Apparently that was "too fucking early".
I had a good UO last night but could not remember it today. I suppose that's fine since I was driving around like an idiot looking at vans. Bumping while driving is frowned upon, yes?
Eh, I have nothing and am not sure I'll make it to midnight anyways. Almost crashing.

Also did you go to Comic Con last weekend?
@monkeybabe
I didn't. I feel so out of the loop on nerdiness these days that it doesn't seem worth it. I've been planning to go to PAX for years and now that I've got the munchkin it feels like it'll never happen.

It will happen some day. Don't lose hope. Babysitter? Husband? Grandparents? Do it. DH was kind enough to let me go (I use that term loosely) Saturday and Sunday. SO. MUCH. FUN. I met Micheal Rooker and my BF Ray Park.

If I go to PAX, I'll probably be able to go with my ex-roommate, which would work out nicely. He's an enforcer every year, and accidentally bounced Wil Wheaton off a computer his first or second year (time limit), because he didn't know who he was. Apparently, another enforcer was horrified, but Wil was really cool about it.
