Yep, that would be my kid. She loves going in and out of her room and playing with the door, so I put one of those knob covers on the outside. I figured that way I could keep her from getting in there in the first place and cut down on the chances of her smushing her fingers.
Tonight I was in her room with her and Nicholas when she ran out, slamming the door behind her so it latched. I started to get up to let her back in. Damned if she didn't open it, sashay her little butt into the room, slam the door closed, and give me a look that seemed to say "nice try, is that all you've got?"
Are there any heavy duty knob thingies? Maybe with green beans stuck to them? I know she wouldn't touch it then...
Re: PW: guess who can open child proofed doors?
I think we're going to just get a finger guard (one of those foam 'c' shaped things) to use during the day and just take it off at night.
Henry is too funny! Smart little guy you have there.
Becca found out this week how to open all the cupboard and drawer safety locks and put them back. When we first were looking at safety stuff we had bought a bunch of different stuff but nothing worked with our cabinets but these ones, now the little bugger knows how they work, that the only thing they are doing is annoying the heck out of us.
she hasn't figured out the door knob ones yet, but she is close, i say by the end of the month and she is currently learning how to open and close the gates by watching us.
