The k'tan is "easier" in the sense that you don't have to drag anything while wrapping. BUT it stretches out pretty quickly and you can't really tighten it in the way you can the moby so it requires frequent drying. It's also very size specific so you can't really share between different sized wearers. If you loved the moby, I'd go with what you know you love!
I had a ktan and did not have those problems with it, but I had a breeze and only used it for short trips. I really liked it and it was a nice alternative to my ring sling when I wanted to use both shoulders.
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!
I found two k'tans for twenty bucks total on Craigslist yesterday so the decision was made for me. One was still in the box, so I can pass it on to a friend who is struggling with wearing her newborn. I'm going to loan her all my carriers a week so she can see what she likes, but this will be a good gift too.
I do have a homemade moby somewhere, I think. I just need to dig it out. We'll see how the k'tan goes.
