Nursing strike?

My LO will be 4 months on Feb 3. For the past couple of days, he hasn't really nursed directly. My MIL keeps telling me to just give him milk through the bottle, but I keep insisting that he nurses because I work M-F from 8:30-3 as it is, and he eats from the bottle more than enough. I'm concerned that he won't nurse anymore, and will only take from the bottle. He's too young to wean from BM & I'm not about to pump 24/7. Should I just keep offering him breast? I mean... Won't he nurse eventually? I don't think the kids going to starve himself... Is he?? Ugh... Don't know what to do!

Re: Nursing strike?

  • Keep nursing! My DD recently went on a little strike because she was teething. Pump if you get engorged, but keep offering your breasts and he will get back to normal. The strikes can be so frustrating, but keep after him and offering at your normal times and eventually he will latch and you will be 100% relieved! : >
