Ok; hoping I have an excuse. I know your first name @amdecker1016 but i can't find you on fb either. Does the mobile app not give me everyone as results???
Can someone please help me understand why the grandparents of my son absolutely have to change his diaper. I find it truly odd. Its like a fucking show and they get sooooo excited and cant wait for the moment he pees or poops his diaper so they can change it. My mil says 'im gonna go change his diaper is that ok?' And im like uh I guess. And my fil literally has to get up follow her in the nursery and watch her change his diaper like its a family event. It seriously just weirds me out
maybe its just me... and they keep asking me if I'm gonna go take a nap. No! Considering its only 9 and I would be going to bed in a couple hours anyway. I dont need you to play house with my baby. I know they mean well and damn it I got lucky winning the in laws jackpot but they are hitting a nerve.
They keep mentioning babysitting. He 3 freaking weeks old. No! You are not gonna babysit him when there is no reason for me to leave my baby with you right now.
Then they say they will gladly stay the night and take care of baby while we sleep. There is absolutely no way my controlling mind could just sleep through my baby crying in the middle of the night so you can take care of him. I would be paranoid over every single detail. No one can take care of him like I can. just not right now!!
Had to get that out

@lnvane00 there is nothing wrong with the way you're feeling. Actually I hate everyone else doing it but DH because they put diapers on wrong and then I get pee'd or shitted on.
Yea I feel the same way. I would leave LO with my H in a heartbeat and feel fine. He is a total natural. But i feel like no one else can do it the way we can. I know our parents raised us and we turned out fine but things have changed a lot since we were newborns. Like... dont shake my fucking breastmilk and then waste even a drop by testing the temp on your wrist!! I will cut you.
And I think it's just the controlling side of me. Which I am ok with but other people would probably just call me crazy.

I knoow! When they said they would gladly stay the night and have no problem sleeping on the floor and they would watch him while we sleep. I was just like ok Get the F Out.
Here is a fun fact! I get more sleep now with a newborn then I did while I was pregnant!! I might be tired but I am not tired enough for you to play house with my son at night. Just creepy

I keep using the "I get more sleep now than when I was pregnant" line and people look at me like I have three heads. Dude, I was carrying a 9 pound baby in my belly, no sleeping positions were comfortable and I had wicked heartburn. I was lucky to get three hours, now I'm getting 6-7 total!
@CHalePhoto I'm all for baby wearing when the ILs are around! They'll be seeing E for the first time ever at DD1's birthday party on the 26th and I have every intention of sticking her in the Ergo & not letting her out, (1) because they still haven't gotten the Tdap, (2) because she'll have gotten her shots the day before and will probably feel lousy, and (3) because I'm a bitter bitch. Oh, and I think I'd have a panic attack if they passed her around and I didn't get her back for an extended period of time.

But at least they came. It would devastate DH if his parents waited that long to meet DD. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that!
Baby wearing FTW.
MH's stepfather still has not seen A. Nor have we spoken to him, at all. No call, no text, no nothing. And yes he and MIL are married and live together. And she and MH talk everyday and she has seen A a handful of times. Welcome to the fuck-up-edness of MH's family.
It was high 70's yesterday. Today it's going to rain all day Tomorrow the weather has as now flake Wtf.
This is getting annoying. We are in for one more beautiful day today and then I believe either tomorrow Tuesday it's supposed to be 30 & snowy. I just want consistent weather and spring already.
We've had weather in the 80's all week. Today they're predicting more potentially severe storms (that means more hail and tornadoes) and tomorrow night it'll be in the 30's. Ridiculous!

.___. I was not expecting to see 80 posts to catch up on when I fed Mia at 3 this morning. I've been so out of it since then that I just caught up! Still fairly out of it, so forgive me if I miss something here:
@lnvane00@Baby1Dany my gosh your IL's are weird. My MIL decided to sit and stare at Mia while I changed her yesterday, and did that ridiculous baby talk over my shoulder until I wanted to scream. I would much rather she got excited and offered to change her than stare at my baby while I change her.
@FarmBoysWife I bow down to your ability to track people down through the interwebz. You will never be able to find me, however. And if you do, I challenge thee to pronounce my name correctly without help. I always think I've heard every variation of it over the course of my life, but someone always finds a new one. I find great joy in this.
@WisconsinCheese12 I second the FU to snow. We're supposed to get a little bit of it around midnight tonight, until 5 tomorrow morning, on top of thunderstorms and rain all day today. Rain I can live with; I love it. F snow though.
I know I'm missing a shit ton of people and posts, but I need the sleeps. My aunt is in town for a couple of days to spend time with me and Mia, and since she's still sleeping, I am going to take advantage of a quiet household.
@bjd316 thanks, me, too! Although our insurance adjustor determined yesterday that our roof is totaled again (just replaced it 3 years ago) and is replacing a bunch of fencing and repainting 3/4 of our house...so I don't suppose I should worry too much about damage if it hails again since it's all being fixed already. Tornadoes are another story!

I said hello here 14 pages ago. After reading the past 14 pages I feel like I've missed out! Haha. I'm ridiculously easy to find I'm sure on fb. I have no shame as I rarely post. I do however read it like a terrible soap opera!
Re: The Randomest Thread
