We had an awful time with ants in our old condo. The only thing that worked was mixing a SMALL amount of borax with honey and leaving a couple little dots in their path. It increases ant traffic for a day or so but then they bring it back to the nest and eventually they all die. I learned way more about ants those few months than anyone
should. The key is to make it not too strong with borax. They need to survive long enough to bring it back to the nest.

I thought I might be able to at least get to the doctor's office for her two week appointment before she started yelling for food. We're in the car on our way now, and she just started crying; every little angry grunt breaks my heart. #MomFail

Not a mom fail, I could Lucas and he would be totally out and not want any more food then when I can't get to him that is when he starts. Those are the worse sounds for me. I can't handle it at all it breaks my heart every time.

Pacifiers are a lifesaver when I'm in the car and she starts up. She's out cold now that we're in the waiting room.

Does anyone have some tips to help increase how much BM I'm producing? LO eats as much as she wants, and appears to be getting enough since she's up to 7-12 (she was 7-0.8 at birth), but I'll be heading back to work in four weeks which doesn't feel like enough time to build up a decent stash. Can't hurt to ask, on top of researching, right? :P

This is what I'm doing, per my ped & LC:
Fenugreek supplement, mothers milk tea, oatmeal, & lots of water.

Ok I have asked my Pedi about this already but these little "bruises" or whatever they are seem to be darker. The pedi told me that these dark spots are just a weird pigment in his skin, but there are little indentions and they are darker than they were. Anyone seen anything like this or heard of it?? They are right under both of his nipples. Btw the pic is sideways and of his chest if it's hard to tell.

@aturl I don't know how old your son is, but it could be some sort of symptom from leftover hormones maybe? I know my boy had lumps under both nipples for a little while after birth and even made wet spots on his shirt once. Maybe this is related?

Oh @legallyginger‌ I forgot to mention he is 3 1/2wks. Maybe so I will look into that. At first I actually thought it was bruises from his car seat, but it doesn't match up with the buckle or anything.

@Jt7dreamz‌ Gross question but is the discharge thin and yellow (like watery) or thicker (like pus)? If it's watery it's normal drainage but if it's thicker it probably is a sign of infection. Glad you're seeing your doc today! Good luck!

OMG guise. It's after 8:30 and all my kiddos are still asleep! I've had a shower, done my hair, brushed my teeth and used mouthwash (usually an either or situation). Not sure what sleep fairy visited my house this morning but I'm super grateful!!

If you can find the type that have a loop at the end instead of an actual clip you can thread it through the small holes in the soothie and make a slip know by putting the rest of the clip back through the loop.

Yes - I ended up back at L&D triage last night for it. I've got two open wounds that needed packing. DH gets to shove 16" of iodine impregnated gauze into them every day. Who knew the postpartum period could be even sexier than the third tri.

I totally noticed this on my way to the pedi Tuesday! I found a used napkin in the car to try to get it out.. I could barely even get worked up about it, haha.

Maybe you can justify it as medically necessary? With a letter from her doctor or the psychiatrist there?

@kirotea‌ I agree with @amdecker1016‌. Could you talk to her case manager or social worker and find out why bcbs issued a cut date? Maybe if you find out why she was cut you can appeal (which I think you can do anyway) and submit documentation if medical necessity?? Good luck!

I just need to vent to someone. Im sitting here pumping and I hate it more and more and more each time. I feel like I cant stop pumping because my son deserves what little breastmilk I can give him. But I just sit here and cry because I hate being hooked up to this thing! I get anxiety through out the day knowing I have to pump. My nipples feel like they are being ripped off and I just get angry and feel resentful being hooked to it. Im so uncomfortable the entire time because I can't lay back and relax and it causes so much tension and pain in my back.
I feel like im under so much pressure to keep at it im a hormonal emotional mess lately. I feel like I am constantly walking on eggshells all day and night. I think I might be getting depressed or have the baby blues or something. I don't know

I juat needed to get that out to someone who might understand
