Any other MOOBS have crazy wrist pain? My wrists feel like their bruised. Also, how did you know when your first PP period was? My bleeding stopped, but it's kind of come back today accompanied by cramps. Idk if I'm just having some bleeding that's started up again or what.
@amholley1 yes! My right wrist hurts like I sprained it or something. No idea about the pp period though. Are you bf'ing? I think that delays it more

This is a thing? I thought it was the weather.
I thought it was just me lol I broke this wrist when I was a kid, but I've really never had problems with it until now. I'm a little relieved that it might be a PP thing
Both of my wrists only slightly hurt during pregnancy but now it's bad. I have to carry my infant carrier with both hands, and have trouble picking up my LO sometimes too! Motrin every 6 hours isn't helping anymore
Sitting here feeling mama-guilt. It's 8:00 am here and I can hear DS1 on the monitor wide awake (he was yodelling a minute ago - seriously 'yodelayheehoo' and everything). I should go and get him, but I'm tired 'cause the twins didn't sleep really well last night, so as long as he sounds happy I'm going to leave him (now talking about marshmallows…).
Why does this make me feel guilty? I'm ignoring him, and today is his birthday. He's 3! Bad mama
Wow. Not even two days after my first State of the Cervix question, my mother decides Facebook is the appropriate place to ask if I'm having any BH. And because I didn't answer (because why the eff would I?) she called me, and updated her status again to let everyone know that yes, I am having BH. -_-;; WTF mother?!?! MH doesn't understand why I'm so annoyed.
I think my mother and I need to have another discussion about what is social network appropriate, and what I'm comfortable with her sharing with the world. >_>
Just need a place to vent, so putting it here. A little long. Shorter version in open letter Saturday.
My Mom called me yesterday to get the dr's appt update because she knows I go for my weekly on Fridays. I (stupidly) told her that the OB did feel a little progress. Then this morning she came up with my 86 year old Grandma to run a local 10-mile race. (She lives about an hour and 15 min south of me). Grandma was spectating.
My vent: both my Grandma and one of my Mom's running partners independently commented that they hear I have been progressing and it may be any day now. Really? You felt the need to share the State of the Cervix with the world? I guess I need to keep this shit to myself and MH only.
My second vent: My Mom and Grandma did nothing but bitch and guilt trip me when I told them they couldn't come over to see the baby's room because MH is laying flooring and painting in the hallyway outside the room. I am not risking my Grandmother who is unsteady on her feet tripping on construction crap. Plus, the baby's room is all taped off so it doesn't get dirty. Even I am not allowed up there.
They "settled" with seeing the outside. You know, the exterior where we just replaced 19 windows and 4000 feet of siding. It took 3 months of weekends to do this work, but they couldn't even comment on that. All they did was bitch about not being let upstairs to the baby's room.
We have a couple windows open up here (2nd floor) to bring in some fresh air... feels so much better in here. I always love the first day we can open windows!
Did this last week when we had a random warm spike. Windows wide open and ceiling fans going. Love it!
It's a beautiful day and Owen is feeling much better so we went out for lunch and did a little garden/yard window shopping. Yay for being able to take the babies out! DS1 comes home from Grandma's tomorrow so these trips will become much more difficult.
With all these birth stories coming up I am noticing there is quite the array of standards between doctors for when they'll admit you or send you home to labor more (barring no other complications).
My doc said to go in when your contractions are 5-1-1 or less. But the hospital won't admit you until you are at least a 4. Which is why I got sent home yesterday morning.
I noticed this also. My doc says 4/5-1-2 hours and the 4cm to get admitted. But of course no way to know that!
@Jennibeanjld good luck! I spent my entire third pregnancy terrified that I wouldn't make it in time after my second coming so quickly, but it all worked out.

There's an awesome thunderstorm going on right now. I love storms. As long as they don't bring hail. We got hit by a massive hail storm in 2011 that caused almost $30k in damage to our house and cars, so now I'm paranoid every time a storm blows in. The weatherman is calling for hail with this storm...I sure hope it misses us!

You must be in the DFW area? We are getting the thunderstorm here, I'm just glad it's rain and not sleet/snow this time! We managed to squeeze both of our cars in the garage tonight when we heard there was going to be hail!
Did you know that if you send a birth announcement to The White House you will get a congratulatory card back signed (or stamped) by The President? Takes about 6 months. I am not very politically involved, but this is pretty cool. And if your child lives to 100 then you get a birthday card. Wouldn't it be cool if your LO had both?
Vent... paid a friend's mother $200 to do our taxes. She's a CPA afterall... annnnndddd she screwed them up so I just spent the last 5 hours reading the IRS website to learn about how to file taxes and did them over completely. She was going to get us a refund of $2000 more than we deserve... which sucks that we're not getting as much as we thought... but I firmly believe in karma.
Now the challenge of getting our $200 back.... arg
Operation baby is in full effect. Treadmill, Slurpee, look who's talking on Netflix, and jelly beans. I'm gonna walk this baby out while I go into a sugar coma.
Niiiiiice!!! I keep debating giving all the natural induction methods a go or just sitting on the sofa and waiting..... What do we think, do the natural methods really work??

I walked an hour the other day, have deep cleaned our tile for two days thinking that would start contractions...nothing, done nipple stimulation. I give up. Ugh. @CHalePhoto if you walking puts you into labor I'm going to ugly cry!!!

@lnvane00 Don't cry! I walked 2 miles on that darn treadmill and the only pains I'm having are in my super swollen sausage feet. Ugh. Even my flip flops don't fit now.
Haha! I know what you mean. The only thing I got out of walking that much was super sore calves for two days I'm rooting for us! I can't believe how content my baby is even though I'm almost 4 days overdue. I should have known he would be stubborn
