@bennieangel - Yup. And soy, eggs and peanuts. It turns out Ellie's allergy was so sensitive she couldn't even handle Allimentum. I now supplement with PurAmino and haven't seen blood in her diaper since two days after starting it. So I tried adding peanuts back in 2 days ago, and her diapers are still good. I'll try eggs next. My guess is I'm off all things made with dairy, whey, etc. until I'm no longer breast feeding. Given the hit my breastmilk has taken with all these dietary changes and now going back to work on Monday, I'm crossing my fingers that's not sooner than I think.
This makes me even more mad that our Dunkin Donuts has been closed and just sitting empty for a couple years, like some giant tease. I want a free donut!
haha you must not live in the northeast
I've got one Dunkins within walking distance from my office and 3 soon-to-be 4 within a 3 minute drive.
Do you read classics or contemporary fiction or both? And what kind of philosophy? And a few titles you've read recently and liked?
Then I'll stop asking questions and get to the advice!
Recently I have been reading more contemporary, but would like to get more into the classics. I like Dickens and Jane Eyre. The Awakening is one of my favorite shorter stories.
Most of the philosophy I have read is in Asian studies. Shinto and Buddhist influences. But I would love to expand.
I am just finishing re-reading GOT, mainly because I watch the series and wanted to remember some of the story lines. I like the way Martin creates a world, but his character development leaves something to be desired for me.

Okay then!
For character development George Eliot's Middlemarch is the best there is. One of my all-time favorites.
If you like Charlotte Bronte you should read Jane Austen. They're all great but my favorites are Pride&Prejudice, Sense&Sensibility, and Persuasion.
My favorite Dickens is Bleak House so totally read that if you haven't.
If you like Kate Chopin (wrote the Awakening) you might also like Edith Wharton. Skip Ethan Frome and try starting with The Age of Innocence.
If you like complicated plots I might check out Umberto Eco. His most famous book, The Name of the Rose, is a murder mystery, but the intricacy of the plot might make it for you. I'm reading Foucalt's pendulum right now and like it so far.
For philosophy in general you might try Sophie's World. It's a bizarre and fictionalized overview of Western philosophy.
I mostly read Christian theology, but a book I love re: Buddhism is Thomas Merton's Mystics and Zen Masters, about the similarities between Christian mystics and, well, Zen Masters.
Finally, I heartily recommend almost anything Karen Armstrong has ever written. She is a religious historian and I know she has written on Buddhism.
Edited (now that I have 2 hands) to say: I have read Jane Austen, but I don't think I read persuasion. I think I read Bleak House, but if I did it was in HS, oh so long ago. Definitely worth a re read if I did.
I have heard of Wharton but don't think I have read her. Will start there for the classics.
Will pick up Sophie's World first for the philosophical. I like the bizarre.
Hahaha ok so my nails keep ending up grown out because I never make it to get them done. They look like I have colored tips, it's just odd. Well I was on Pinterest and LOoK... It's the new fashion!!! Now my nails look awesome right??
I love colored tips. I posted these photos to show my nails but the drinks look good too.

@pepperedmoth - I just fell in love with you. Like seriously. Head over heals.
@addisonsmom22 try a nail polish brand called Vinyl Luxe. Similar result as gel with no light drying or added cost. Plus it comes off with regular nail polish remover.
I tried it for the first time a week before A was due. It lasted almost 3 weeks before I removed it. Only small chips.

@jennbaylor12 I am actually not sure, but I think you can google for places. I had mine done. It may only be available in spas but I could be wrong. It is fairly new on the market from what my manicurist told me.

Oh gotcha, okay. I misread and thought you did it yourself. Still, No extra cost is great, I always mess them up when I do it myself :-)
It is important that you only use their top coat and not something else. According to my manicurist the top coat becomes harder with regular exposure to UV (so it gets harder over time when you are in the sun). This is what makes it last so long.

@Futuremrstonyasmith woo hoo for money!!
@WoodShopGirl tell me more about what you like to read?
Yea I just had to decide which one to go to lol
As far as books, mostly fiction with a non-fiction business or philosophical book thrown in every now and then.
For fiction I like complex story lines with in-depth character development. Usually the longer the better, as I blow through books fairly quickly.
I usually avoid any type of murder mystery and most science fiction.
