I am starting to get there! STM, but I will be 31 when this babe arrives.

Last time I was trying to sweep and clean my house before family came over. Not this one. If you don't want to deal with the mess then wait. I am also thinking of charging a chore fee. Want to hold the baby? Empty the dishwasher.

This stems from the fact that with DD my MIL would promise that she was going to come over and help out (and I could barely get out of bed for two weeks after my c section I NEEDED help in the worst way). I would count on this help. I would believe her promises and then she would DO NOTHING. I mean don't say you're going to help if you aren't.

So this time she does her help before she holds the baby.

I'm just kidding of course, but I'd like to do it.

Some asshat at my work commented on my lunch choice of a BLT, even going so far as to pop open my takeout lid and POKE AROUND.

Instead of sweating and stressing about it, I completely ignored his question of "what's for lunch" and kept on typing. Rude people get 0% of my time/energy. My baby deserves a Zen like atmosphere and no one can make me feel insignificant without my approval.

I'm in my early 20s, and I can honestly say I haven't given a fuck since I was about 14. I didn't think it was possible to give any less fucks, but apparently I have dug a crawl space and am now just in the negative zone of fucks. I've been getting down on some bacon for the past couple months. 

Meh. I haven't had hot dogs. But we eat bacon from a local farm where we get most of our meats from. I'm not eating a pound per sitting, but I'm not too shy to say I'm a 4 or 5 slice girl.

There is a natural bacon that doesn't contain nitrates. That's the one I get and it's delish. The brand Natural Choice Meats" I believe. I get it at Kroger.

Psh. There are naturally occurring nitrates in celery. When you get the natural processed meats, that's what they cure it in. Eat all the bacon. Actually, I might have to make a trip to the store tonight.

I'm right there with you! Esp being a STM. I give no rats behind what anyone but me and DH think of the choices we ( mostly me I win ) make for our kids. Everything at this point is going in one ear and out the other ( at least for those over stepping my boundaries). Stay strong mamas!

Nitrates, schmitrates. I ate quite a few hot dogs during my last pregnancy (I was pregnant during the entire summer) and I will again when it gets to be grilling season. I've also had bacon several times this week.

This thread totally empowered me to stop giving a fuck...I literally care too much about what everyone thinks and then it stresses me out...although since I've gotten pregnant, I definitely don't give a fuck as much!

And I too eat bacon on a weekly basis...I'm pretty sure a few slices won't kill us!

Granted, this is only my opinion, but I think this is about how it breaks down for most people...

Things where people may legitimately judge you in pregnancy:

Drinking often/a lot (if addicted, not getting help to get sober during the pregnancy)
Doing "hard" drugs (not applicable to women with addiction who are working with their docs on this during pregnancy)
Smoking like a chimney and not attempting to quit

Things where people can't/shouldn't ever judge you in pregnancy:

Pretty much everything else.

I feel you. I walked past a coworker with my poptart in hand and she goes "what are you feeding that baby?"

Whaaaat? I said "never you mind what I'm feeding the baby. I'm hungry." She said bite me. I was tempted.

This is also the same person who asked me to consider what kind of mom I'm going to be. She said I won't want to be the kind of mom who sits on the park bench instead of playing with her kids.

I'm a size 16. I will play with my kids and occasionally eat a pop tart. FU and your judgement.
