*** 2nd Tri Bleeding Check-In***

This check in is for the girls who have experienced or are experiencing bleeding in their 2nd Tri. It's a way for us to keep track of you all and send prayers and good thoughts your way.

Please give us an update to how you are doing, any upcoming doctor appointments, anything you're looking forward to, etc.

@LoHerrim - I think you're on bed rest but forget if you're bleeding... update me anyways

Thanks for checking in!  I am doing well.  I haven't bleed in 3 weeks now.  And I have been able to do more walking/physical activity without cramping, which I hope is a good sign.  We go for my a/s on Friday morning - I'm counting down the days.  FX that the placenta has moved!!!!

I had contractions on Saturday and s little bit of spotting. Im going to call my doctor and see if its snything i should worry about but it was a very small amount. I think I've figured out that my body reacts poorly when I don't get enough sleep, which has been frequent. Last night was the first night I got more than, say, 4-5 hours of sleep in over a week.

And I agree with everyone, @katekat8721 you rock for doing this!

I'm good! No heavy heavy bleeding in a few weeks, just constant spotting every day. When I had my 18 week scan last week, the dr said that the clot looked slightly smaller, almost as if it was starting to get absorbed. AWESOME NEWS! I'll take it I have my 20 week scan next week and I hope that they see it getting even smaller. I'm off full bed rest but am still supposed to be careful, and no lifting (um... I have a 15 month old? HA!) I definitely feel better than I have in a while though.

Thank you for doing this. I am thinking of all of you!

I always forget about this checkin and unfortunately mobile doesn't give notices!

But I have been doing good. I had been good for a few weeks of nothing but this morning I woke up with blood when I wiped. Boo. I have my anatomy scan on Thursday though and still feel baby kicking away so I'm trying not to get too worked up.

Keeping my prayers up for the rest of you!

I'm a newbie here. I had one spotting episode dec 26 and the following week i found out I have previa. She didn't say which one and to not worry yet but that's like telling the wind to stop blowing. I see the high risk doc next week

I had some brown bleeding on Wed but nothing since. I went and had my A/S today and everything looks good. So not sure what caused that bleeding aside from too much excersise.

No bleeding for almost two weeks, kinda upset that the resident at the hospital told me not to have sex since both of my episodes were not related to me having sex. Tomorrow is the a/s so I'm going to talk to my regular doc and see what he says. I have marginal placenta previa and when I went to the hospital at 18 weeks for the last episode they couldn't tell me if it had moved further down since the last episode at 14 weeks. I'm not happy with how my doctor handled the situation since I tried to call him the day after to discuss and he just told the nurse to relay a message to me instead of getting on the phone himself. I know it could have been worse after reading some of the previa posts here, but I shouldn't have to lurk on message boards to find out that I shouldn't be lifting heavy things etc.
That's the end of my rant for now.

FWIW, my OB/RE/MFM all have different levels of ultrasounds. We can only really see my SCH well on the fancier machines the RE/MFMs have. The regular OB machines do not show it that well at all. Hopefully the MFM will be able to see what's going on. Try not to worry!

I haven't had any bleeding in 2 weeks, we had our a/s last week and my placent looked ok, but a little bit low. Dr is still not sure if that was the cause of my bleed, but wants to keep an eye on it. I have a level 2 ultrasound feb. 17 with perinatologist and plan on asking them about my placenta then.

My doctor told me it was fine to lift things (in particular my daughter), so it might just be a difference of opinion between doctors.  Sounds like a good idea to talk to him at your a/s about it all.  I hope yours has moved!

Dang just went to the bathroom and had more brown bleeding (a week apart to the day).. I had a lot of pressure yesterday and took it easy and laid around all day. So annoying and frightening. Im putting myself on bedrest. Not going to do any walking like I did for excersise and see if i get it again. She is moving around though so thats good. Wish I knew what was causing this.
