Is it weird my RE never references my age?

Well I just turned 36 in November and I've been TTC since January 2012. I just started seeing RE in August. Since August I've been diagnosed with PCOS, UU, a fibroid and endometriosis. I find it strange that my RE never references my age as a possible reason for IF. I have never ever been pregnant. Actually never even had a positive opk. Do other ladies REs mention age? I'm wondering if he feels like with all my issues my age is the least of my worries.
Me: +35 DH: +35
TTC: Since January 2013 
DX: PCOS. Severe Endometriosis, Unicornuate Uterus w/only left tube and left ovary, Pedunculated fibroid (on the outside of uterus) and Anovulation. All conditions diagnosed 8/13
TX: Metformin
DH DX: MFI - low morphology, low motility
Ultrasound shows both kidneys in spite of UU. 
HSG showed clear tube on the left side. 
Lap Surgery performed 1/9/14 to remove fibroid and endo (Stage 3)
  • IUI# 1 June 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 13: BFN
  • IUI#2  July 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 5.75: BFN
  • Natural Cycle - so shocked to be in 2WW - 7dpo Progesterone: 15.5: BFN
  • Working with new RE starting injectables in late August.
  • IUI #3 August 2014  w/ Menopur: BFN
  • Finally ovulating on my own!!
Waiting to start IVF hopefully

    We discussed age a bit when I sought the help of an RE, but as age wasn't necessarily the cause of my IF, I did not dwell on it too much. When I did IVF at 37, I was still considered one of the "younger" patients (though on the cusp of being in the "old" camp).

    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    Well mine names it all the time:( but since I had ds less than two yrs ago and first month we tried and blood work normal...I think its something else. My problem is staying pregnant:( ..I also have been stressed a lot this yr....good luck to you!

    The 'over 35' AMA designation is really an arbitrary number, it's not like you turn 35 and your reproductive system goes "Ok, time to act old now". I'd say 36 is pretty low on the spectrum of truly age-related possible issues, there's probably no need for the doctor to reference your age.

    @gscoville so true and funny. I was actually kind of thinking that none of the diagnoses in my siggy probably even existed well before I turned 35.

    My RE only mentioned my age once, which btw is 37

    I asked the RE about my age when I was about to turn 38,  He told me in terms of IF I was still a baby and not to worry. I still am worried though, since my mom went through menopause at age 43. 
    Me 38 DH 40
    TTC since Dec 2010.
    Diagnosed anovulatory, HSG clear. Slight MFI- borderline count, but excellent motility and morphology 
    Nov. 12- Feb.13 Gonal F + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN
    Lap April 13. Found blocked tube and bridged fimbria. Opened tube and cut fimbria. All clear 
    June 13  Gonal F+ Pregnyl +IUI = BFN Stopped treatment with RE due to side effects from drugs and told we needed IVF.
    Oct. 13 started Accupuncture and Chinese herbs- being monitored by RE. Getting better response- e2 and follie size. 
    Now RE says TI till March, then IUI. Fingers crossed,
