Re: Dumb Questions

  • Ladies who BF when it comes to sexy time what do you do? If the bra comes off so do the nursing pads and leakage. Eventually do you just not leak anymore? I feel like I'll have to explain why it can't come off and that'll kill the moment.

Can you tell I'm hitting my six week mark soon? I'm totally overthinking this I'm sure.

@‌Btwilhelm - I doubt he'll question it. He'll probably be to excited that he's finally getting some action to care about that.

I told my DH ahead of time why the bra wasn't coming off. At first he paused to think about it, then laughed and agreed that maybe it should stay on.

That or you could just put a towel down on the bed or wherever you plan on having sex ;) I know I plan on doing this as opposed to being a bra when I finally get the all clear for sex. OR we may just do it in the shower no mess, therefore no fuss no muss!

  • @bookshelves i got my period about 6.5 weeks after delivery but I formula feed.  It started out light and then got heavier, like it normally does.  I also had signs of ovulation prior so I wasn't surprised when it came.
  • Haha, she just took a couple big fart-poops, so maybe that's why she was squirmy :-) But now she is asleep... she hasn't had any issue with diaper rash so I think I will let her sleep for a little while.

  • Lochia question -- My bleeding tapered off last week, to the point that I was barely spotting, but it didn't stop completely. The last couple days, I've had bright red bleeding again. I'd say medium flow. I didn't do anything strenuous or different than usual. Could it be my period, or is it likely still PP bleeding? I guess I'm leaning toward the latter, since I'm EBF. I'll be six weeks tomorrow from a vaginal delivery. (Filed under "dumb questions" because 1, you can't tell me, and 2, it doesn't really matter, I'm just curious to hear others' experiences.)

This exact same thing is happening to me! I'll be 6w pp Monday, and have my apt then. My bleeding got really light , never stopped, and suddenly it is getting heavier-for no reason. I did have some odd cramps for a couple days... But not quite the same as period cramps, although similar.

  • How often do you change your baby's clothes?  PJs at night and outfit during the day, or just keep them in the same footy pj in a 24 hour period?  Provided they haven't puked or pooped on them obviously.
I've done both.  If he's wearing a 2-piece outfit during the day, I definitely change it at night.  Or if he gets milk on the collar.  But if he is wearing a footy type thing and doesn't seem dirty, we've left it on for 24 hours.

When LO was in NB, we stuck with the footy pjs, just because it was easier, plus we didn't have a huge selection of NB sized clothes. Now that she's up to 0-3m, we get dressed in the mornings (sometimes simply in footy pjs!) and wear a gown at night. If for no other reason than to help establish a routine... Or at least to differentiate night and day
