When to go to the hospital ??

So I live 2 hrs away from the hospital that I will be delivering at and I'm just wondering if anyone had any advice or experience at what point after I know I'm in labor should I leave for the hospital ..... My mom only lives a few minutes away from the hospital so even if I arrive early I can spend som Time there

I'd drive to your moms once I started getting consistent contractions. I'd talk to her in advance and make sure you had a key and that she'd be fine with letting you and dh have space while you progress until you want to go in.

Consistent contractions are key, especially if the pattern is close, for example 9-1-1 (9 contractions that last 1 minute for at least 1 hour) or 5-1-1 (same thing except 5 contractions). But since your mom lives closer to the hospital I'd go even earlier than when you're having that pattern of contractions and just labor there because you never know what can happen or how your labor will go.
