Pregnant after IF

Help please? Anyone have success with thawed embryo with cell loss? (From IF board)

We are getting ready to head to our FET. The embryologist just called and said that our 5 cell embryo thawed 100% but our 4 cell embryo (they are both 2 day) has lost two of its cells and is now a 2 cell embryo. We have one embryo left and I asked if they could, thaw that but they said the clinics protocol was to transfer the two cell embryo. I'm so panicked and upset. I was really excited about a double FET but now I feel it's just a single. Does anyone have any information or advice about cell loss after thaw and success rates? Thanks in advance

  • Thanks @ThoseThreeWords. I ended up ringing back and re-requested that they thaw our final embryo. They can't do a triple embryo transfer but they said they could see whether the third thawed better and then we can could re-freeze the 2 cell embryo if it continued to develop to blast. They have just called us back to say that our final embryo thawed successfully and has all 4 cells So relieved :) Thank you for your kind words in my time of panic.
