I'm sure this has been posted before, but with all the new intros lately (myself included) and finding out some people are from Boston in the GTKY about purses yesterday, now I'm curious. Where do you call home?
@Joy2611 I grew up (and now live) in the Metrowest area, but work in Theatre District. In my college years I lived in Brighton but always wanted to live in the Fenway area, especially around the summer - I'm jealous you got to experience that!
@lulu783 Don't get me wrong, I love my home state, but I have wished for a long while that I could live somewhere with actual seasons... Texas is HOT 9 months out of the year, and then slightly chilly for the rest of the year with one or two really cold days. No snow, no leaves changing colors in the fall, no spring... HOT - then chilly. I'm in south Texas, and 2 years in a row we got like an inch of snow, and the entire city (plus other around it) SHUT DOWN for a full day because no one here knows how to drive in snow. It was ridiculous!
I do love the variety of cultures in Texas though, and the fact that you can literally drive in any direction from where I live for 4+ hours and still be in the state. We have everything from big cities to small towns, large expanses of farm land, forests, a few beaches (though DH from Cali. says our beaches don't really count... ), some hills and a few mountains out west...
We once seriously considered moving to Seattle, and we've always both loved Colorado... I love NYC when I went about 13 years ago, but DH said no way on moving to the east coast. Maybe one day we'll move out of state - who knows?

@dorothyzbornak97 - Anytime I say North Carolina, this goes through my head, "c'mon and raise up, take your shirt off, twist it round yo' head. Spin it like a helicopter."

Oh, Petey Pablo! You know UNC still plays that song at their games? There's nothing sadder than seeing an arena/stadium full of preppy white people trying to get hype to Petey Pablo!
I was born and raised in Lexington, KY. I now live in central Indiana.
@jcsumm0 I love Lexington. I used to have family that lived there so I visited quite a bit over the years. If I could pick another city to live in besides my own, I would pick Lexington. I love the horse farms, Keeneland, The KY Horse Park, all of it!
North, central KY. Near Lexington But in a smaller town. I love it. I work in Lexington so I get the benefits of the city without living there. (Not that Lexington is a huge city But it has a lot more to offer than my town!)
Northern NJ in the mountains on a lake, about an hour outside of NYC. I can't imagine better :-) Born in MA though and grew up on Martha's Vineyard and in Cambridge and NYC. Shout out to all you Bostonians; I lived in Fenway, Brighton, Allston and Mission Hill when I was in my early 20's. It was the bomb.

I'm born and raised in Northern California, couldn't imagine myself living anywhere else in the US.
Although I always wanted to move away and "come home" for the holidays like you see on coffee commercials. You don't get that feeling of coming home when you live an hour or less away from your family.
@CrazyCornball What part of New Orleans? MH and I were married there and try to visit 1-2 a year. Of course we love it for the drinking, but it's more than that - we're not the prototypical bourbon street frat kids.
Re: GTKY: Where do you live?
@Joy2611 I LOOOOOVE Philly! Almost as much as I love New Orleans. It's a tie.
AFM, I'm born and raised in Connecticut (Lower/Fairfield County), lived in Boston Metro area for 2 years, but back in CT.
