Got the results today. I was high on the first, right on the limit for the second, and was really good on the third. The nurse also mentioned another draw they did, an averge estimate or something like that and said I was good on that too. So, over on 2/4 is a fail to them and I was at 1.5/4. Technically passing... But we figured better to be safe than sorry since things can change as hormones increase. So, they put in a referral for the nutrition class and for a monitor. I'm glad they are being conservative instead of brushing things off even though I would rather have heard I passed outright.
Your results are identical to mine! I was also sent to the class and have now been monitoring my blood sugar for almost a week and I'm super thankful bc they are def not perfect. Come join our GD post. It's great for support since it is a lot to digest but I felt the same way. Better that we monitor it than assume all is good
Royally failed my 1 hr, I measured 163 :-( they are still making me do the 3 hr even though pretty much guaranteed to fail. They said not to change anything yet, but I am cutting out the sweets and junk ASAP. Should have been more careful but it's so hard to get through the cravings.
@Rileypie.... you actually really don't know. I failed my 1hr with a 166 but technically passed my 3 hr. I did have a high fasting glucose, so still may end up with GD. But it's definitely not a definitely fail so worth seeing how the 3hr goes!

Thanks @haziedaze just seems like such an epic fail I can't imagine how I could come back and pass the 3 hr. I will try to keep my hopes up though! I go for the test 3hr on the 15th
Yeah, my 1hr, 2hr, and 3hr were all pretty low. My 1hr on my 3hr was in the 150s even with twice the glucose load, go figure! Fasting was the only fail at 98, with a cutoff of 95.

Joining this thread today because I got the dreaded call. I have to take the three hour tomorrow, so at least I should know the results before the weekend. Really hoping this works out! I already eat low carb, limited sweets, lots of protein and veg so who knows.
Ladies, if you are between 130-149, you don't HAVE to take the three hour test. They can't force you, and if you don't have other risk factors, it may not make sense. Mine was 135, I have no other risk factors, the baby is in the 50th percentile, and I think it's crazy to take an expensive, time consuming and unnecessary test, especially since no one can give me a legitimate reason why 130 is a better cut off than 140, in a patient with no other risk factors (sorry for the run-on sentence). Remember....you have the right to make your own decision.

I failed at 148, and that's pretty close to 150, so I'll be doing it even though I'm not sure if I can keep the drink down for 3 hours. Joy.

Joining today I got 140. I'll be taking the three hour test on Monday. I see a lot of you say 140 isn't that bad. I'm a FTM and nervous so I'm going to take the three hour anyway. It's going to be boring and nauseating but it's covered by insurance so I'll do it anyway.
I got a 140!!!!!! I'm soooo pissed!!! I was kinda mean to the lady on the phone who told me. Then after I got off I broke down and started to cry like someone had just died!!
I forgot my looming needle so I'm sitting here messing with my phone. Sitting in these chairs is very uncomfortable. I wish they had a bed so I could nap
Hey, I'm a lurker, not a poster, but I'm in the same boat.
My husband and I eat a paleo diet - low carb, high fat and protein. Apparently it's very common for people who eat low carb to fail the glucose test.
My specific issue is that my fasting glucose level is just a touch too high - 5.5 when it needs to be 5.2 (sorry for the Canadian measurements).
I've already met with the dietician and started monitoring my glucose levels. The dietician was infuriating. Spoke to us all like we were children; "Okay, so we need to add a fruit to your dinner plan, can anyone tell me what some fruits are?" I wanted to murder her by the end of the session. It was so frustrating!
I hope everyone else passes their 3 hr or manages well! Good luck!
What's funny is fruits are supposed to be eaten as snacks not with other foods. I go to a natural health clinician and she helps with my diet. Also the babies are not happy with this drink. They have been moving around a lot and want food. 30 minutes left and I'm free!!
I found the meeting with the dietician awful. Simply because we've decided to eat a diet that flies in the face of conventional wisdom. So I had to sit there for two hours and be lectured on how saturated fats are not good for your heart, carbs are the most important source of energy, you need whole grains for B vitamins... GRRR
Hopefully your dietician is better than mine and doesn't walk into the room assuming everyone is there because they've binged on Coke and cookies for the duration of their pregnancy/lives.

I'm at my three hour too. Coming up towards the first hour. I brought two books and papers to grade. It's getting so busy here though, and I'm afraid to lose my prime seat near the corner. Haha
I've been leaving my jacket on my chair every time I go back for another blood draw for exactly this reason!
Re: 1 hr fails, where you at?
