ENOUGH with the GD screen posts!

The acronym is quite appropriate because every time I see one, I mutter "GODDAMN not another one" under my breath.

I know BMBs go through topical waves; it'd just been so nice there with the big break since all the "I'm having a..." posts.

I think people should be screened when they adopt a pet. Some places around here have an application process with references needed, which is nice but apparently some places near my SIL(in PA) do not. Somehow she always ends up with 6 dogs, 5 cats, and a duck in their trailer. I feel so bad for these animals.

I'm already over people acting like pregnancy is the most miserable hardship ever and they should therefore be doted on non stop. Guess what, this is the easy part!

Not only do they have lower nicotine but also lack the 1000s of other bad chemicals in a regular ciggerette.

Ecigs have tons of other chemicals, though, and their safety when it comes to use AND secondhand exposure is still up in the air. I think they're definitely better than regular cigarettes in both cases, but it's kind of like switching to diet soda and thinking that means it's totally cool for you to drink as much of it as you want.

Some rescues are down right ridiculous about adoption. I'm positive this is a uo for at least some folks, but lots of places around here (including shelters) won't let you adopt a cat if you let it outside. I think that's ridiculous (and yes I know about the song birds and the slightly shorter average lifespan etc etc).

I strongly disagree with both  Burt's bees lip balm is just about the only thing that works for me. I have little tubes of it everywhere.

I have wine on occasions, I take hot baths without a thermometer, I have deli meat, I eat my steak more rare than I should, I had frozen yogurt. DH and get our sexy on often, I had little to no morning sickness, and I'm getting my hair died today at 1.

I think the writers at baby center ad the bumps heads just exploded.. Sorry to go against all of your expertise.

Getting a mortgage was easier than getting a dog. We were denied by two different rescue organizations one because we both work ft and another because we didn't have a fenced in yard - they didn't even come for a home visit just rejected our application flat out by email. We still both work full time and don't have a fenced in yard. Ask my dog how happy and spoiled he is. I thought it was a little extreme and that's why people go and get a dog from a byb. I absolutely still think there should be a screening process though.

I was denied a dog for the same reasons, it sucks. I just wish shelters would use references more where sil is, she has hoarding issues (obviously).

I also don't like GS cookies... they weird me out and are totally over priced. I do purchase them because I sell Thin Mint Cupcakes and I keep them stocked in my freezer so I can sell them all year long.

I always forget my unpopular opinions, lol. CRAP.

Gotcha. Admittedly, I know very little about e-cigs! Whenever I see someone smoking one inside a public area, I always do a double take!

I feel like most dog adoption places are super strict, at least around me. I'm sure ill get flamed for this but I "needed" (wanted really) a dog very quickly because I went through an awful break in etc and wanted a guard dog. Most agencies take months if not longer to decide whether you even qualify for a dog, much less get one. Luckily, there is one SPCA that gets dogs so often, you can't even put a dog on a 24 hour hold. You have to take it that day. I don't know how well that works for other people, but it was perfect for me. And I got my guard dog and he's wonderful and I can sleep at night now.

It's like that weird chick in high school who doesn't like her name so she invents a nickname and insists everyone call her 'Kat' or something to be cool. I get exploring your options to see what the name can be turned into to avoid teasing, but otherwise it seems so forced.

I agree. We named DD Sierra without a nickname in mind. We ended up calling her sisi (ceecee) but it just happened, we didn't plan it.

I hate decorating in "standard" kid colors, ie, blue/green for boys, pink/purple for girls.  Pastels are ok in moderation, but why does everything have to be so pink or blue?  I've already decided I want to do an orange and taupe room for this LO when he gets older - hopefully he'll be down for those colors!

Scarves are overrated. I love a good scarf and have quite an assortment, but they come off when my coat does... I don't wear them all day like a necklace. I think the obsession with them is a little silly...especially for kids!

I want to participate in the HDBD post (and read through them) but I get so annoyed with everyone who posts the picture sideways, instead of right side up.  I refuse to keep turnin my head to the side like a damn pug to see how big your belly is.  Post it the right damn direction.  Ugh.

OMG, agreed 100%!!! I think my MIL had a stroke when I told her we had picked out the colors for the nursery before we knew g/b... Like, who cares? Were putting the house on the market in sept of this year and I don't want to have to paint again, let me pick these cute 'in' colors and so itll be a room and not just a nursery... We have it gray/orange/aqua/teal and white. Shes still horrified.. I keep getting 'those arent baby colors, Kate!'... Ugh... she can kiss my ever growing butt, lol.

It is difficult for me to watch gymnastics because of how they over themselves in chalk. DH got so annoyed with me screeching "aaaahhhhh the chalk!" during the last Olympics. Just watching it makes me want to take a shower.

Mobile does this automatically, but if you click the picture it rights itself.

True, but it also opens in a new page every time, and then I have to keep hitting "back" to keep doing the same thing with the others.  Its just an annoyance.  I tend to just look at the ones that are right side up without having to click to make it bigger because the pic can be seen clearly.

I've typed out three UO's and deleted them in fear of being royally flamed. I do agree that the word "chic" is awful and I ALWAYS pronounce it wrong and chevron print is overdone.
