Levels?

I had my blood test today after injectables/IUI. I am pregnant and my levels was 29.2. The nurse said they like to see it higher but it's ok and I test Monday again, of course now I am being neurotic and am making myself crazy. Is that a good number? What is a good number?

An individual number alone isn't important, it's the fact that it doubles every 48 hours or so. Also, it depends greatly on how many days pregnant you are. Here's a good site that has logged lots of beta results: www.betabase.info. Click on beta charts & doubling times to get a feel for it.

How many dpiui can also be a consideration. I went in two days before my scheduled beta because I was desperate and my first beta came back at 40 I think. The nurse also told me they like to see higher but reminded me that I was only 12 dpiui and they typically wait until 14. My other betas are in my siggy but it was all good because im 23 weeks now. Good luck!!

Yeah, just hang in there for your second number. That's really what means something. I'm sorry that you'll be stressing this weekend. Hoping for great numbers at your next appointment!

It could still be early. Try not to stress...easier said than done, I know. Like others have said, doubling time is most important. A number by itself isn't good or bad. Good luck!

Hi there!

Check out the levels in my siggy and you'll have hope!  If I'm recalling correctly, my beta #1 was only 28 and then it doubled for beta #2 and everything has been fine from there on out and I'm almost due now (just 5 weeks to go)!  Enjoy the fact that you got a BFP!

ETA: looked at my siggy...my numbers were even lower than yours!  23 then 42.  Cheer up!

Don't worry about that number at 15 dpo, just focus on the number rising and hopefully doubling at your next draw. There are so many variables at that stage, such as you might have implanted a little late. FX for the second beta!

My RE said anything over 5 is considered pregnant, but they like to see over 30 (I think that's what it was - it might have been 40), but regardless with that number as of today you are pregnant.  You really can't make a determination, though, until you get your second beta and see how your number is increasing.  Everyone says doubling in 48 hours, but as long as it's 60% higher you're usually good to go.  My clinic looks for 66% or higher.  You can see my actual numbers in my siggy if you're curious about my own experience.
